With Sanchez most likely off to City, We should go in for Mahrez and then Griezmann (if possiblel next summer). Mahrez will compete for the right wing slot with Mata and Lingard while Griezmann will start behind Lukaku and will compete with Mhiki for that position. We would be strong in every position.

Easily. In this climate where VVD is £60M and fecking coutinho £130M+

All day long

IF sanchez is 100 % not comming i would give it a go too. But his consistancy is a problem. There are also options like Moura or Draxler though who could cost less too.

I like the fact that even when we were dominating Leicester he was skinning is almost at will and was always a threat down the right. He was a key element in winning the PL and Was was only inconsistent along with the team when they were having that bad spell under Ranieri and was flying towards the end of the season under Shakespeare.

Mahrez is PL proven for one and I'm a strong believer that you need to play with better people to get the best out of yourself. Mahrez could get better when he has players like Pogba, Mhiki, Rashford and Lukaku with him. He won the PFA POTY ahead of people like Sanchez, Aguero, Hazard, Kane, Coutinho. People keep talking about Sanchez having a level higher than Mahrez which could be true but Sanchez has played with better players around him as compared to Mahrez. At 50m and 26 years of age, he's a steal in this inflated market.

I agree, But if we were intrested it would have already happened by now. Deadline day deals you have to pay a lot more.

Really warming up to the idea of him on our right flank. Not many other better options out there right now that can do what Mahrez can. No doubt Sanchez is the better player but Mahrez is better at the qualities that we need imo. Hoping we jump on this but not got my hopes up

To be fair, I don't care about consistency. He can rotate with Rashford, Mkhi and Mata for that spot, so if he is out of form, play someone else. It's not like we rely solely on one player to spark us into life.

Go for him.

not a bad player to bring on after 70 minutes

He would certainly start - surely you would take him over Mata on the right wing?! I personally think this would be an excellent signing but looks like we are not interested sadly.

Moura is Walcott.2, he just runs very fast and in often in a straight line. Way too limited as a footballer.

Mahrez is deadly on the counter attack. He's rapid, can pick a pass and is an intelligent footballer in terms of finding space. He'd be superb here and for £40-£45m would be on the cheaper side.
As for not being a goalscorer, he did get 15 the year Leicester won it and despite being pretty average (motivational issues?) last year the talent is undoubtedly there.
WANT WANT WANT :)

Yeh. He's like the right sided Hazard, where he can also dribble through tight space. I think Mahrez could be this "missing piece". With Ibra coming in in January, man... that coveted league trophy could be ours.

Not quality enough to acquire imho. If United want to show they're for real, they won't settle for lesser players and will get the clear cut impact players needed to improve positions on the field. Mahrez (Sanchez very unlikely as he has his eyes set on City) or bust tbh...don't want the team to make a signing just for the sake of making one because they potentially missed out on the likes of Mahrez. If that's the case, much rather stick with what we have and keep going until January rolls around and more importantly next summer to land a world class player like Griezmann or whomever. Don't want to see us settle for leftovers and mediocrity any more; José has finally dragged us out of the gutters ever since SAFs exit and don't ever want to see us there again :)

Plus he is something of a set piece specialist which would be a huge tick in the box.

Would love him here, but i have not seen a single tweet that he's moving away from Leicester, let alone United being interested

Think our window is over, Jose said he will be trying to sign some one next summer to improve a certain are. No more no less.

Don't think he's the type of player Jose would be interested in and we won't be buying players for the sake of it.

I think he fits what José would want in a player, specifically the lethal counter attacking ability he has + engine and work rate.

And Mahrez is definitely not that type of talent any team buys for the hell of lol. He's an elite player.

Got Arsenal nailed all over him before the window shuts.

Wenger has to replace the departing players fast and he's certainly an option.

Some people really thought he would arrive to United :D

Dont think he will move to United at all

I hope the rumours are true, we really do need some width on our right hand side. Mahrez is a good player, won't cost an ungodly amount, and knows the league. And he can cross alright!

Really hope it's true but I just don't believe it. He's a cracking player on his day. Wouldn't cost and arm and a leg.

Did Bouhafsi report it or did the program he was on just mention it?

Would be interesting to see him in an attacking side, considering how well he did in a Leicester team that was set up to defend and counter. Spending most of the match on opponent's half, rather than his own, with alot more talented teammates. Think he would be a great player for us, and it would let Mkhi play more as #10.
Would probably mean we would try to get rid of Mata though.
