Rio Olympics 2016

Cycling, tennis, boxing, athletics. I don't have enough screens!

If it were best of 3 I could see Del Potro but over 5 Murray should do it, especially if he wins this first set.

Del Potro must be on form if he's taken out Novak and Rafa tbf. Murray clung on.

He's a fantastic player when fit...someone who'd have probably got a few GS's to his name if it hadn't been for injuries. I think Murray will win out in the end, but it's been all over the place so far with all these breaks.

Too many things on at once! Del Potro is certainly a hairy fecker.

Go Murray. Beat the Argy.

Boom. 1st set Murray :)

Lonnnng first set, should take a lot out of Del Potro

They keep going about the Nadal match must have knackered DP, but it was only a three setter ffs.

2nd place in medal table.
It's incredible, really. Particularly when you think back to the 1996 Olympics when we only won 1 gold and finished 36th in the medals table. 20 years later and we're behind only the USA (which has 5 times our population but only about twice as many medals). Given the spread of medals across various events, I think we can make a strong case for being the best all-round sporting nation in the world.

Now, if only England could recreate that in football...

Del Potro clapping Murray after losing a taxing point. Such a nice guy and a awesome player. I really really want him to start competing properly in slams again.

Didn't he make some your mum comment to Murray, years back?

Had to check, but should've known. Redgrave and Pinsent saved us from a dot year.

Not to derail the thread but there's a video of him a few years ago of him arguing with Murray in a match where he even mentions Andy's mother.

Delpo looks knackered already. Was hoping he'd win this, but having lost the first set, looks an impossible job for him out of 5 sets.
