Rio Olympics 2016

Yeah it is.

The people randomly shooting up the banking are doing the same thing they do in the pursuit and making sure they don't spend too long at the front because it's more knackering.

This is the best cycling event imo absolutely nuts.
Yea I've started to see that. Cavendish seems to have left it too late.

Easiest way to understand any cycling race is to remember that it's much easier to ride in somebody's slip stream than it is to ride at the front.

The riders want to spend as long as possible in somebody else's slipstream before out sprinting their competitor at the end.

Is there a sport where Britain is as dominant as in track cycling? They're like Spanish clubs in UEFA competitions.

Looking at that medal table, pretty insane how much Swimming makes USA a power house, right now almost half of their medals are swimming, China/GBR very mixed up.

Whys that? Is swimming massively pushed in the states? Similar to say Cycling here or something? Seems a massively anomaly they are so far ahead in it.

Rowing would be the other one but maybe not quite as dominant as cycling.

The Finn class sailor is now guaranteed gold on Tuesday. Another one in the bag.

I'm not sure it's any more complicated than that they have 2 people who have won 9 gold medals in the pool.

Feels like a lot of the tennis matches have had more breaks of serve than you'd typically see on hard courts.

In the tennis only 2-1 in the first set and the match has already been 30 minutes.

Manchester is on top of the sporting world (or close to it) at the moment. We have Pep and Mou managing the City's two clubs. Pogba and Ibra have just landed. Team Sky cycling and team GB cycling are based here. The undisputed heavyweight champion of the world fights out of Manchester and we have two other boxing world champions.

Becky James looks nice in that little top.

Michael Phelps on his own have won more gold medals than most countries I think.

And Noel Gallagher.

Sir Jason Kenny in January I reckon.
