Honestly not sold, yet again! Just a bundle of energy but that's it. We are getting ripped off here, if true!
He really doesnt seem anything special on the ball and wouldn't even be considered without his physicality. I would much rather we go for a play maker right now, someone who can control games with their passing and ability on the ball to create chances and really run games. Not just a bundle of energy, because we already have those players.
He looks mustard. I only wish we could be competing for players like him!I agree, Sanches is just a more powerful Schneiderlin, not worth the money and more of a workhorse than a talent like Weigl and Neves.
true... he could turn into the next anderson as wellWhat I would have done for a Sanches last night. His lower centre of gravity would mean he's more agile to deal with the coutinhos and lallanas.
Amazes me that people think he's over hyped. He's 18, he could turn into the next pirlo for all we know. Scholes at 18 never dictated games like he did when he was older.
The fact is we need people who are comfortable with the ball but can also actually run, and this kid is definitely that.
Add in his rocket of a shot and we will finally have a goal threat from range again too.

That is not what the article says at all.
Oops. Ignore it then. That is not what the article says at all.
The star on the rise Benfica Renato Sanches was recorded five years late, according to the documents that JN had access.
Childhood Renato Sanches was difficult. Happy but difficult. One of the most marginalized neighborhoods of Lisbon, Musgueira, the ace rising Benfica grew wrist. He never strayed from the roots, but early on saw the parents follow different paths. So did the birth registration five years late, according to the documents that JN had access. official source eagles confirmed the delay in the registration and explained it with separation from parents.
With only five months, the baby Renato witnessed the departure of the parents. His father, also named Renato Sanches and is a native of Sao Tome and Principe, moved to France after the end of the relationship with Maria das Dores, Cape Verde. Five years later, he would return to the capital with the intent to baptize the boy, which forced the former couple to register the child.
The temporal failure, however, according to data investigated and confirmed by our newspaper, not put into question the age of the "Bulo the Musgueira" 18 years old. And documents ensure that the young was born at 15:25 pm on August 18, 1997, in Amadora-Sintra Hospital, and was registered on 22 August 2002, the Central Registry of Amadora.
Sanches, convened yesterday for the first time for the selection renewed at the end of last year at Benfica until 2021. He arrived at nine to Seixal and debuted in the first team, after going through all levels, last October 30 with the Tondela (4-0). The termination clause is 80 million euros. Exorbitantly, but not enough to ward off interest and allow room for negotiation to the president Luís Filipe Vieira.

Sorry, it was Pilib de Brún saying that we were previously offered Sanches.
Didn't say when he was offered but did say that Woodward had no knowledge of the player so probably, as we have been regularly scouting him for a while now.Ah, offered him before he got into the Benfica first team?
How was he for Portugal yesterday?
Most people here seem to think he's bang average.Shite apparently.
Most people here seem to think he's bang average.
So he promises to join us, joins Chelsea and they give us tons of money. Good 'un.He could be our (new) Mikel
I didn't watch the game yesterday but I have watched him a couple of times before and I wouldn't call him average. It seems people are forgetting that the guy is only 18 years old. His physic is tremendous for someone that age but the thing that really makes him stand out for me is his composure and decision making, you rarely see 18 year old midfielders who looks this calm on the ball and makes as many right decisions at this level. Most people here seem to think he's bang average.
And is bang average for them too.So he promises to join us, joins Chelsea and they give us tons of money. Good 'un.
