I dunno, heard relegation does wonders for your skills and immune system!

Looking at the upcoming fixtures for the teams below and just above us, we are going to be stuck between 11th at best and 14th at worst until January.
We are stuck in snakes and ladders territory along with a few other clubs in mid table.
A couple of wins will be undone by a couple of losses and draws, with other teams around us doing the same.
Akin to trying to run in treacle and getting nowhere.

What happens after the Liverpool game is anyone’s guess at the moment, as we don’t know if Amorim can turn this team around.
It would take a total collapse to be in the relegation zone by the end of the season.
We could end up in 6th to 8th place, but it’s more likely to be between 10th and 14th.

.

Well, if we lose to Citeh & Bournemouth, then god forbid lose at Wolves.. then in the best case we’d be only 5 points off the relegation zone at the half way mark. Only saying like..
Thats with teams below winning all of their games?

Just looking at the table now and it’s hard not to feel slightly nervous.

Although it seems impossible that it could to happen us it would also be a fitting culmination of the past decade of horrendous club management and terrible decisions upon terrible decisions.

The best scenario would be 5 points, ie Ipswich & Sotton lose all their games, Wolves only beat us.
If we're on 19 and Wolves are on 9 points then is it not 7 points gap if Wolves beat us?

We won't be relegated, however, can definitely see things getting worse in the short term and our finishing in our worst ever position in a generation.

As someone posted yesterday, the new manager is committed to a system that requires quick, intelligent, technically adroit footballers.

We, however , are stuck with the legacy of extending ten Hag's contract and recruitment. In consequence, many of the players we have are slow, one dimensional and as thick as mince.

Relegation. Bloody hell, we're the worst United in 30 years yet are still 10 points clear of some of the worst ever premier league outfits.

Last year the relegation teams had 16, 24, and 26 points. All three of the relegation teams are under 10 points right now. As much as it would be interesting to see Man United relegated.....It is not happening.

Did you miss us against Forrest?

I'm not saying Forest at home isn't a game that United should be winning and everything but they are 5th and they did only win thanks to 2 errors...

The idea that United should be worried about being relegated is absurd. Things haven't even been that bad at all to start under Amorim who's 5 games in and there are plenty of worse teams (started with the Everton side you turned over 4-0 the other week for example).

I don't think we'll be in a relegation battle but I do think 13th-14th was around where we should have been last season, and now that's where we are.

You don't spend 18 months getting outplayed by nearly every team in the league because you're better than them.

Of our next 5 league games, I expect only 1 win (against Wolves).

We could do quite well in the Championship. I think I may actually enjoy it more than the current state of affairs.

It could be fun.

Maybe that is Jimmy's master-plan to force the Glazers into a full sale.

Anyone who denies relegation as a realistic possibility, is living in dreamland. I’ve seen stranger things happen

Manchester United aren't going to get relegated.

Had to go and check the table to see why this would even be an issue. We've more than doubled the 18th placed sides points so far and we've been fecking shambolic. We'd have to not win any of our next 5 or 6 to be remotely close to them and that's obviously not going to happen.

We're still closer to 4th than we are 18th and I'd have them about as likely as each other as usual finishing in those spots.

It’s so incredibly tight now. Only 10 points above Wolves and Ipswich, all they need to do is win 4 in a row and they will go above us. I think we might need 55 points to stay up this year.

Which is incredibly easy.

"Too good to go down".... "plenty teams below us are much worse" ..... heard it all before in the mid-70's we had the mercurial Tommy Doc as manager, the brothers Greenhough, Martin Buchan (pride of Scotland).... then Denis Law's back-heel.... Ah, yes I remember it well!

Lets hope we don't get anywhere near the relegation zone, because this bunch of players will I fear not be up for the dog-fight.

Hear me out, how fun would it be to play in the Championshipn against 115 after a soft punishment only knocks them down one league and then turn around and help Wazza by losing to Plymouth?

Yep if the results on the pitch are depressing enough, coming on here is a different level.
I think everyone knew we would struggling once SAF retired, but I never thought we'd reach such lows.
I also think a few years ago, most teams still treated us with a bit of respect, because of the club's name and standing, but that veneer has all but disappeared.
Same here. It’s very sad to see how far we’ve fallen.

Wont be relegated but i’d put a lot of money on our worst ever PL position. I’d put good money on us finishing bottom half.

Its not FIFA either, there is 0 money for January, we are broke. This is it until the end of the season. I’m emotionally checked out, we wont win any of the cups and we wont qualify for Europe. Its like exhibition football.

I’m already worried for Amorim because coming in mid season is always a challenge and it looks like a lot of our players still arent interested despite the change of manager

We'll be alright. When we went down that time we were 1 point above the relegation zone with 23 to play, currently 10.

Have you also seen Wolves' fixtures that kick in soon and Everton's next 8? Not that we really need to be worrying about those teams finishng above us. Then Southampton are doomed already, Ipswich don't look like they can do much either.

Maybe they chuck City out as one of them to be relegated anyway, meaning we'd have to finish 19th to go down.

I didn't think we'll get relegated, but we really do have a poor squad. Some of the players people think are our stars are actually some of our worst.

Our star players are meant to be Rashford, Garnacho, Bruno. I would say that none of these are good enough for top 4 clubs.

Bruno could be, but seems to have let the pressure get to him, maybe being captain of such a terrible side makes him feel like he has to constantly try weird stuff that never works.

Rashford and Garnacho seem to get a pass because they sometimes score goals, but this completely misses the point. That's the ONLY thing they do!

Neither can pass or create anything because they have very little footballing intelligence or creativity. Neither of them can cross, neither of them can tackle. I can't see where they fit in to this system at all.
Rashford is a fantastic crosse of the ball ffs
