Better sort out that soon!

You've seen In the Mood for Love though, that's something!

I ended up seeing it while I was a newbie after reading the reviews on the mains movie thread, the same way I got myself to see the Wire.
Forever in your debt and all...

Just me that thinks Jackie Brown is better than all of Tarintinos other films bar Pulp fiction and Reservoir Dogs ?

I'll expect Eboues list to be 10x All The Presidents Men and 10x 3 Days Of The Condor.
Two-Lane Blacktop #1

Come an See, big ups!

I hope R.N7 is correct on this one.

"Idi i sma tri", is an awesome film, probably should have featured higher on my list. Superior to "Schindler's List" (different subject matter, but still captures the essence of mass atrocities in a more sensitive way) and I am happy that someone has recognised it so early on this forum.

@duffer please don't count the votes of anyone who votes 300. And don't count Twigg's votes on the next top 50. There should be a severe punishment for anyone who votes for 300.

Sorry to reply to this post after such a long time has passed, but I just saw it and I find it objectionable to say the least. "300" is masterpiece for me and I will explain. The film wildly succeeds in its primary aim which is to convey the Spartan martial ethic. The viewer is left in no doubt as to what kind of society ancient Sparta really was. For anyone remotely familiar with ancient history and political thought, the importance of this can not go unnoticed. The fact that the action is choreographed in an exaggerated and theatrical manner serves to underline the resonance of the events depicted through the ages and the sheer heroism of the Spartans in standing up to the mighty superpower of its time. Gerard Butler and Lena Headey are also awesome in their roles.

Yeah, I was just joking though. Well I find your views on 300 a bit surprising if they're serious, but to each their own. I just felt like you might be on a wind up but I see you'd actually included it in your list!

Well, I think it's an awesome film. By the way, 20 films is way too little. I just realized I have left out "The Shining", "Citizen Kane", and "Cloverfield".

Stop it. You literally cannot think this.

Someone spoilered Shutter Island for me which kinda ruined it a bit for me.
:( I've had the same thing with Fight Club. Some cnut of a friend thought it'd be a good idea to spoil a great film for me. Still loved it to bits though.

White Men Can't Jump used to be on tv all the time back in the day but I haven't seen it in yonks. Wesley Snipes should receive a public apology from the President of the United States for the way he has been treated imvho.
