No pac in my list. Even though he had great tunes, he never eally had a great album. Also I tried to limit it to 1 album per person. So with Jay you have Reasonable Doubt but no Blueprint and likewise with LL and others. I made some exceptions but heh what the hell. Anyways I'm sure I have forgotten a few classics and the list is not really in order as I just put down what came to me first.

Reminder

Just a little reminder for all those that haven't posted there lists yet, 10 days to go until the deadline, and unlike the movie thread these results will be collated and the final list posted by the 5th january at the latest.

Thank you.

As Rednome's second in command, I feel it is my duty to point out that the final list will be posted by the 5th February, not January as previously stated

kill yourself now

Instead, as my number two I challenge you with the task of finding out which posters from the panel haven't done their lists and PM them with a reminder.

I congratulate you in advance on a job well done :D

I have my list. And so far I've managed to narrow it down to 76. Happy Days. Its really hard to pick a top 50, especially when it changes from week to bloody week.

I might just copy everyone else's lists

Or you could take the 1st and last letter from each album, divide them by the number of tracks on each album, multiply them by the average length of each song, and divide the dates upon the year they were released.

That should give you your definitive list.

That's why I wanted to do 100, but everyone started whinging, so I knocked it down.

Disclaimer!
The following list is mostly based on rock albums. Only one album by a band (or an artist) was picked. Most of these albums are extremely commercial and known by many. People will disagree with many of my picks, fortunately.
The list will only live as long as the picture is hosted at the image host. That's because I would never pick the exact same list again, and so I will not have to answer for it later on.

Doogie, if you want your list including I'm gonna have to ask you type it out like everyone else has done. It's gonna be hard enough as it is to collate these feckers into one list, without not being able to cut and paste lists which I won't be able to do with yours.

Appreciate your help.

Feck, I deleted the text file.

I'll type it up tomorrow, going to sleep a bit first

The only great At the Drive-In album is 'Relationship of Command'. 'In/Casino/Out' has its moments, but the vocals are pretty poor at times on it. Relationship of Command rules tho - and if you like that, check out the Mars Volta. Completely different, but has it's the singer and guitarist from ATD-I. They took a lot of acid in between the two bands, and ended up with a prog-punk-salsa thing going on. Can't really describe it, but it's great

RoC is a very good album and i think it is very similar to Metallica`s Black album in that some of both bands best songs are on it - Pattern Against User, Invalid Litter Dept, Unforgiven and Sad But True - but equally the albums are both choc full of fillers as well. So, for me In/Casino/Out and Master of Puppets, albums that are consistantly excellent from beginning to end are the best albums by both bands.

The Mars Volta play the Apollo on March 13th and i doubt it`ll sell out.

I don't think there are filler tunes on Relationship of Command, one or two weaker songs maybe but overall I think it's a considerably better record that In/Casino/Out. There are also some really good songs on Acrobatic Tenement, but Relationship of Command just feels like their biggest achievement - and not just cause it's their most popular record or their last record, it's their best record, where they really sound like a special band. From the start of Arcarsenal, it just explodes.

Oh, and I'm not a big Metallica fan, but I think Master of Puppets is their best album.

And I'm going to see The Mars Volta at Brixton Academy, can't wait

Yes, I did that for you because we're in love.

Nah, bought LA Woman about a month ago. Had the LA Woman CD cover and the feckin CD even said it was LA Woman. But when I first played it I realised it was The Doors. Been listening to it none stop really since I got it so that's influenced my decision quite a bit.
