I think Rednome will add you to the panel mate, based purely on your choice at number 5.

Good list

I wouldn’t put compilations in such a list, but the ones I did include had an impact on my life too big to exclude.

Ahhh, so close, if only you'd put Radiohead in your list I'd have included it in the count.

Nevermind aye :smirk:

Oh and Muse at number 3???

Sorry lad, just can't use it.

A proper panel member? Quality, cheers. Looking back at the other lists, I'm surprised that Mezzanine has shown up a few times - I didn't realize it was so popular. I can't get enough of it

My favorite Massive Attack album, love the darkness of it, good shout.

Yeah, that's what makes it so special. I really like Blue Lines, but the majority of the tunes are basically really good pop songs. Mezzanine has a darker edge to it, inventing a sound really. Same goes for Portishead - Dummy would have been in a Top 55 ...

No Dummy? I may have to rethink your inclusion :smirk:

Harsh but fair. Looking at your list, I also haven't got any DJ Shadow, Blur, Cocteau Twins or Sabbath. Sabbath! Really stupid one to leave out, Master of Reality should blatantly be in my 50

You got any Shadow?

Maroon 5??

disqualified

Nomes, have you got that limited edition thing that Shadow did? Think it's called Product Placement. Was originally only handed out at his gigs, but I think it ended up finding it's way into the shops

One of the best things he's ever done, bit more accessable, and less dark, and quite funny in parts

Check it out if you haven't got it

Yeah, I've got Endtroducing and The Private Press - I actually prefer The Private Press, some incredible tunes on that record. It's pretty close to my 50 I reckon

Privates good but Entroducing is what started it all and was also a hugely pioneering album to boot, plus I saw him on that tour which definitley swings the ballance.

Legand in my book, if you haven't seen him live I highly recommend it, the guy is flawless. He did a tour called In Tune and On Time and that's exactly what it was.

For your viewing pleasure tonight I present to you:

Pushing Buttons - DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, DJ Numark (2002)

Enjoy.

Wierd, plays on the Youtube site but not on here.

Bugger.

Got it on now. feckin quality.

Saw Shadow at Creamfields a few years back, around the time of Endtroducing, but I was off mi tits at the time so I don't remember a great deal about it. Not even sure what year it was.

Scratch Perverts are pretty awesome too if turntables are your thing. Seen them a couple of times, very impressive

Scratch Perverts are cool as feck, saw them when we saw Unkle, they were with him on stage for his set.

Another recommendation for you, just put Banco de Gaia _ Big Men Cry for the first time in years, forgot how fecking good it was, check it out.

Crystal Method aswell, either Vegas or Tweekend are their best albums.

You'll of heard at least one of the tunes off Banco de Gaia _ Big Men Cry, it was used in an advert years ago, can't remember what for though, Celestine it's called.

DJ Shadow is from the town I live in, went to the same schools as me here in Northern California.

Did you ever go in the record store that's pictured on the front of the Entroducing album, not sure where it is mind.

What the fcuk is the average age of the panel??

How can you leave out Music in The Key of Life by Stevie Wonder, Rumours by Fleetwood Mac or A Night At The Opera by Queen?

Three of the best albums ever made.

So good you don't even know the name of it

Did expect this sort of reaction from these old farts. I feel I shouldn't have been so honest. But then, this was merely a list of my 50 favorite albums not the 50 most important albums in the history of music.
I only have one musical education, so what do I know.
