I think it stems from being a Ronnie fan. It's obvious Selby has the talent to potentially surpass Ronnie in the history books (in numbers) and I don't want that to happen.
Made me laugh the other day that in the time O'Sullivan made that stunning 147, Ebdon made a 12 break

Ditto. That year Ebdon did Ronnie in the semis was annoying. He was expert at getting under his skin. Selby is more likeable, but his matches are an endurance test to watch at times.
Even if it hit, you can't blame Jan. It was so slight. The problem is not being allowed to use replays. Not as if it's hardly disrupting the 'flow' of the game is it.
Truly believe if Ronnie didn't have the troubles he did during he's career he'd have surpassed even Hendries world championship record but it is what it is. Selby is no doubt the best player right now but I find him so boring to watch.
would a replay of helped there, I watched it a few times and still could not tell.
He was happy to use the replay once the other ref said that it hit. Only when he changed his mind and the replays were inconclusive the ref took his original stance.

Surely if they spent more time studying the replays with all the angles they have and slow-mo etc, they'd be able to get a definitive answer. Might not be instant but I doubt they'd be able to come to a decision that quick.

Yeah I think davis made a good point about the reflection/light of the cue ball moving towards the black ball giving the impression it hit.

I play 8 ball pool mobile game and some on there take ages to hit anything, must be infuriating in real life.
