One more off my list. Interval's an asshole. Both Akram and Chanderpaul were going to be my choices. Cruelly he lets me almost believe i'm going to get them...just three positions above me.

An underrated swing bowler who got over 350 test wickets and was useful with the bat as well, my pick is Chaminda Vaas

I've always thought Vaas was a better one-day bowler than test. Sure he got 355 wickets in tests but he paid 30 for each one. Even if you said that his figures were affected by bowling on the flat tracks of Lanka, they aren't improved when he bowled in Australia, England or South Africa.

Compare those to his one-day figures and you'll see a clear difference.

I think there's better bowlers than him left in the draft.

It was between Vaas and another bowler for me, Vaas' ability to bat lower down the order swung it in his favour. He was better in ODIs but I still think he was a very useful test bowler and is underrated considering what he achieved.

Just give me a few minutes. Not onliune much

If your after me, make your pick, I'll catch up.

You sure? I have kps88's pick and my own lined up. I don't think either of ours will clash with yours since you'll probably be going in a different direction based on your first two picks and your first choice of Vaas but even so, you never know.

I can wait for 15 more mins if that will help you.

Still doing your research? I'll go ahead because i'm pretty sure you'll be looking for a bowler after having having selected two of the most stylish batsmen of the era for your first two picks.

kps88's going for some swashbuckling batting along with some very useful spin.

I've thought hard about this one. Obviously I need to start getting some batting in after having selected two top class bowlers already.

I have some personal favorites i'd like to select but the man has an average of 50 and has done it while putting together 8000 runs. Also i'd like to get a quality opener in while they're still available - add that to an uncompromising attitude on the field and captaincy at 22 and the choice is obvious.

nm, you'll have a while now. Desert Eagle's in Bangkok from what I remember and he's not going to come online for several hours.

Alec Stewart (Wk)

Doesn't seem very strong, but after thinking about it, a lot of the good keppers are taken. Having one who can bat, open if needed and actually score runs may be useful. Have to start taking bowlers though. My middle order is my strength though. Lara and Lakshman together will be masterful.

Had to think very long and hard about this pick, may turn out to be a blooper but it is gonna be Chris Cairns as my bowling all rounder.

I'm quite happy with the startings of my team so far. Top quality batsmen of the highest order, top quality wicket keeper of the highest order, and that's not even factoring in his batting, and in my opinion a spin bowler very underrated in Australia, New Zealand etc etc Maybe someone from an Indian, Pakistani etc etc background can shed some light as to how he's viewed/rated over there. Would be interesting. :)

Promising when he started, a mixture of bad attitude and an inability to work on his obvious talents has meant he's stagnated.

Yeah, that's quite a fair assumption. Luckily we're talking at the peak level of each of the player's then. I mean Ponting really needs to go (coming from one of his biggest fans ever), but in his day he was a class apart.

He was our most dangerous spinner at one point, ahead of even Kumble. Then he eventually just became toothless and was more effective at keeping the scoring rate down rather than taking wickets. Was probably a mixture of the opposition figuring him out and his own failure to take the next step. Should have been dropped a year earlier.

He's been named in the T20 WC probables list and is due a stint in county cricket (I think) though, might be the start of a comeback.

Singh's problem is that his away from home form, especially in good nations, was about 25% worst than most, easily beaten up outside of India that guy.

Although, tbf, only Warne was really as good away from home as he was at home, but that's being the best for you.

Bhajji started off amazingly well in THAT series against Australia in 2001. But he has been pretty awful in last three-four years. Seems to have completely forgotten to flight, got more interested in parties etc. and also have became a full twat.

You utter cnut. Feck it, I give up :(

All my WK batsmen options gone, I had in order of preference:

Flower, Boucher and Stewart.

* profanities here*

I'm hoping the 2 picks I have lined up now next holds till my pick.

Taking Samir Dighe here.

Not a bad choice at all. I considered taking him but decided i needed to shore up my batting before i started in indulging in luxuries like that. Bowling average of 30 and batting average of 33. Better all rounder than Flintoff based on those figures...not as good a vote getter i suppose.

Yeah, Flintoff had some news making performances that helps uplift him other wise not much between the two.
