Feels like Liverpool is the only normal big club remaining.

(So normal that their fans photoshop them into an Adidas ad)

There's an even longer post here. Memoir kind of thing:

my Mam had 2 boyfriends. The first of these – Peter – remained a family friend even after my Mam became attached to the second fella, and it was he – in early 1985 – who took us to Liverpool.
It was nothing to do with football.

He was involved in some daft religious thing where people wore stars round their necks, and while me and my sister laughed outside this smelly house on the outskirts of Liverpool, and Peter and my mother talked to these goons about God knows what inside…
Any ideas what that could be? :nervous:

They look like they've just been arrested.

That's what was used when he started supporting United.

Yeah, its like he is desperate to prove that he is this old codger, who's been supporting United when it was still called Newton Heath, and thus somehow 'better' that the people at RedCafe who know nothing. Thats assuming he is a united fan to begin with.

I would have been much more worried if they bought players who actually fit Mourinho's style. A striker and a winger who don't really defend, a midfielder with a questionable discipline and a young and raw central defender are not really the additions that will make a Mourinho's team a contender.
having spent £600 million on new players (plus over £600 million in wages) since Ferguson retired in 2013, they should be the clear favorites for the title. They don't really have a plan in place, and that is what makes them less dangerous in the long run.
I am merely expressing my opinion based on what I have seen from Mourinho's teams, and the way his managerial career has unfolded in recent years. I think that he will struggle against the likes of Klopp, Guardiola and Conte now in the Premier League.
We know about Zlatan, we also know he's never really smashed it in a really strong league and certainly not a fast paced one.

We know about Mkhitaryan, we also know he's never played in the Prem and don't know how he'll adapt.

We know Pogba is quality, we also know he'd much rather go elsewhere.

Bailly we know shit all about.

We also know who their manager is, very well. And we know what he does, we know his tactics, we know generally how long he lasts at clubs, the sort of player he signs, the chances he gives to kids, we know his attitude, his behaviour, his morals. He's a c*nt, he's very short term and he's negative as feck. His last job he got sacked before he got the Champions relegated.
We've got Klopp and they've got Mourinho, I couldn't care less what mercenaries they're signing for their couple of seasons launching money at that ratbag.
What a wonderful no win situation for Manchester United.

They are pinning every last hope on Jurgen Klopp being a messiah. I fear for them when when it turns out he can't turn a very watery Jordan Henderson into a delicious winey Paul Pogba

It is funny how all of our transfer sums always include all bonuses and 5 years of wages, heavily inflated wages at that - While their own transfers never include wages, bonuses or anything else.

Also the value of every player that Liverpool sells in the same transfer window always get subtracted from their transfers, while nothing of the sort happens with our transfers.
