Time for Rafa to crush their spirit in the 2nd half

It's mostly an issue for native English speakers. They never seem to consider the possibility that spelling and pronunciation might actually have some connection. And I can't blame them, their first language discourages that kind of thinking.

In a sense, "Raphael" is weirder. He's been here for seven years now and his proper name is on his shirt, he doesn't go by "Da Silva".
I'm not sure I agree with the bolded part. But it's does appear to me that the native English speakers are worse at spelling names right. I do agree with it being their first language's "fault", so to speak, though. I know how both English, German and French pronunciation works so it gives me a good basis for spelling things right. And I do hate spelling names and the like wrong so that helps as well I suppose.

So, West Brom away is a harder game than Chelsea home?

Basically, what I get from this APLT thing is that "we'll get more points at home than away". Scientific.

It's even one step ahead. It is more like "how should we divide the games so that Liverpool will always be Top 4. At least in our parallel universe".

I wasn't being entirely serious but the English often seem to consider spelling more complicated than it is, as in, they often find even the simplest names difficult to spell because they expect spelling to make as little sense as it does in English.

They just drew 1-1 with Malaysia 11, to RAWK

This should be a proper rout. I'm going for 8-0 #LFCTour

Especially Janujaz is a weird one. If you were to pronounce it it would sound completely different from Januzaj.
To be fair I've typed out 'Janujaz' a few times in the past before realising what I've done and correcting it. It's more the product of a tired mind than anything else.

well, can you blame them for being tired, their wait for the PL title is already a decade into the new millennium with them worse off than they were 10 years ago

That's obviously what happens. We had one on here at one point, I forget who, who would write it like that consistently. That annoyed me no end.

I have to say I'm disappointed that there is no witty comment in the title of this thread. I miss the smile that the "We go again" edition brought to my face.

 Amazing. Buddha needs to work out a bit more, though.

Actually I was looking at it from the opposite perspective -- a fat face/head like that has to have a fatter body (unless he is extremely unfortunate.) This means that the Adidas kit probably acts like a compression suit and enhances his blubber bod. Or it squeezes the blubber up to his neck and face?

RAWK reacts to the Barcelona game:

Elbows is already up to his usual fouling antics I see

Yeah Fellaini should calm down and bite someone or racially abuse them instead, that's the classy way to behave.

They are going to win everything

But I thought it was your year?

And the player who's still living off the two goals scored against the mighty Sunderland finishes it off

Liverpool fans not in the business of living off past glories.

City beat Barcelona in a pre season friendly back in 2003. Then finished 16th that season.

Facht.

There going all out to retain there* international champions cup.

*They're. It's the only silverware we have a chance to win with Liverpool on course for a league and cup double in 15/16.

Good to see them finally get revenge for the 2009 and 2010 CL final defeats.

Neither Barcelona nor United reached the final of the Champions League in 2010 actually. Would have thought the most knowledgeable fans in the game would have known that.

You've asterisked the wrong 'there'. To be fair, they're too consistently illiterate for any one man to catch them all.

They were just testing you.

I can say with some confidence we will be once again hanging around a fair amount higher up in the table then these lot, and they know it.

Can you believe this was actually the league table. I still can't believe they messed it up.
Sad and depressing to say this but watching Liverpool implode was probably the highlight of the season! We hit rock bottom and then it started looking up for us at after this point that season.

Moyes got fired, Giggs took the reins,Youngsters got a run out and Liverpool topped it all off with that epic implosion! Only thing I remember from that season I think, oh and Mata's arrival in the Helicopter

Must be a tough night for them, we beat Barca even with their favorite cannibal playing, while Arsenal wiped the floor with Lyon and the best they could muster was a 1-1 draw with Malaysia XI

Have to give credit to City. They kept the pressure on by winning those games in hand and didn't give Liverpool any room for error. Fortunately Gerrard provided that error in spectacular form :D

City capitalized on the collapse of both Liverpool and Chelsea. Mourinho is a bit lucky because Liverpool's complete collapse has meant that most people will always forget how Chelsea also lost out on the title after leading the chase for months

City were only top for a couple of weeks in total over the course of that season, but they really were impressive when it mattered most. Turning things around after their defeat to Liverpool, which seemed like a title clincher, was very impressive stuff
