RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

Ronaldo might just be our GOAT, if, IF, you're counting more than just ability. Ronaldo, as it stands is one of the best ever, already but that is factoring in lots of things like, trophies, medals, individual honours, and his dedication to the profession.
If you're talking about pure talent, nothing else. Not longevity, not honours, not having played in a WC etc. Then Best is a tier above, IMO. On ability, with the ball at his feet he's streets ahead of even Ronnie and Messi.

In regards to manipulation of a football, whilst running at speed and being able to fool defenders, with more than one trick only Ronaldinho and Maradona comes close, IMO.

Ronaldo is much better than Best when it comes to reading the game, and I think that's talent too. Having an eye for the goal, pass and having near perfect timing isn't something that can be taught.

Don't think I'm arsed - did enough of it in the Newbie thread before I got promoted. Ronaldo is obviously a class player but come on, doesn't come close to what Best had.

Sorry lads, only read the responses now. The thing for me is, and it's also probably why I don't hold as much affection for Ronaldo - he gave us around, at best, 3-4 seasons of top quality then he chose to leave for Madrid, where he's taken it up a level. (ito of pure goalscoring at least).

But yeah, let's not derail the topic/thread.

I wished I had seen more of both Best & Edwards :(

from/for the ''Which one of you lot is this?'' collection.

I mean, why wouldn't you? I'll be honest. There were years there where, when I hit the vinegars, I'd see Kenny chesting that ball up in the air and smacking it in at Chelsea to win the league in 86.

It was automatic. I'm not even gay and that's what pops in my head when I've got the wolf at the door!

It doesn't happen anymore thank Christ. For a while there it was Xabi at Luton but now I'm fixed on Stevies third v Napoli in the build up but I kind of cutaway to Linda Pizzuti just as I blert. I haven't shouted her name out yet. Awks!

But you never forget your first do you?

To be fair, if you were cock-deep in something like this, then I'm sure most people would be desperately trying to picture something, anything else...

Very strange of ITV to show the goals from another match right after an England game...it's almost as if they had an agenda just now.

This guy couldn't even accept it when this reasonable point was made,
Not really, was shown due to the 'novelty' value of it being a world cup rematch, plus ITV are showing a variety of Qualifiers i believe not just home nation ones this time around - Czech vs Dutch for example

Nah, if it had been 1-0 and any other scorer they really wouldn't have bothered showing it. Trust me. It was crowbarred in there and we all know why.

ITV apparently in on the agenda with the FA, Premier League, FIFA, the local taxi firm etc....

You have to laugh at them going on about our spending when we only spent about £20mil more than them, i mean yes they sold Suarez but they still SPENT over £130mil on new players.
Its the same shite from them that they have said for 20 years even though they have spent more than us over the whole of the Premiership.

if you just saw Best play...you would think..ok..that's how football is played. Then when you see other players...you would have to ask yourself...well why are they so clumsy...or what is wrong with them.

I'm trying to recollect when I saw him as a lad. That's about as close as I can get I think.

Although I was destined to follow United because of my father...I lost my soul to United when I first saw Best. It is a privilege to have seen the great man play football.
Beautifully put mate

Sorry, are they pissed that itv showed highlights of Germany Argentina and it just so happened that Di Maria had a blinder or something?

Liverpool, and the scouse people are a country and nation, like any other. How anyone who wears our shirt, can then brazenly tramp themselves with England, Brasil, Argentina, San Marino, Liechtenstein etc is beyond me. What a step down, why put yourself through that? Hopefully players will just start retiring from national football once they break into the first team. If we are going to have national football let it be at youth level where it belongs. feck England, feck Hodgson, feck the London cockney press, as far as I'm concerned, there is Liverpool and then there's the Universe/eternity and all that sail in her. Guess which one is more important, Liverpool, or everything that is not Liverpool?

If the twats hate England so much then they should just feck off out of the country then, no one would miss them.

How very Nick Griffin of you...
How's it anything like Nick Griffin?

"If you don't like the place you're in, think about moving".

Nick Griffin it more like, "if you're thinking about moving to a better place, don't"

How can a statement encouraging people to emigrate be "very Nick Griffin"?

The delusion is strong with this one.

As someone who has read extensively into the workings and slogans of the far-right I think I'm on secure ground with my post.

But prejudice.
If prejudice is having a problem with those English people who constantly moan about their country yet do nothing about it then count me in. I'm prejudiced against that sort of folk too, and que pushers, who do they think they are?

Not RAWK but there's a pair of Liverpool fans on Twitter talking to each other ''laughing'' at how ''the mancs'' think ''crippled, past it'' Falcao is better than ''Matured'' Balotelli.

I stepped in to get involved and was told Balotelli scored 30 goals in 39 games last season

Turns out with a quick google he scored 18 goals in 41 games. Strikes me as one of their raging bitters on RAWK who makes up stats to stop his overwhelming insecurities.

Also, apparently the injury Falcao got has meant ''He isn't the same player'' despite the fact it's the 2nd time he has had the injury, after the first time he went on to become one of the top strikers going. Also, the fact he has bagged a few for Monaco this season has completely been ignored.

Seems to be a lot of Liverpool fans have been rattled by the transfer window, it's only a matter of time before on the pitch it's all back to normal again.

There was a good link in the newbies from a few weeks ago when Liverpool thought they may get Falcao, he was equal in terms if quality to Suarez. About 24hrs & 5 pages later...

...he was an injured has been, who we were signing out of sheer desperation.

If the twats hate England so much then they should just feck off out of the country then, no one would miss them.

Funny you should say that, it was suggested that they should secede to/with Scotland should this vote they're having be in favour of devolution. This would prevent ''The Owl'' from injuring their players, apparently. Although as the nationality of their England internationals would remain unchanged, one is inclined to believe that this cunning plan would be doomed to fail rather amusingly.

I suppose there might be the consolation prize of them actually winning the League, though.

Feck off, we don't want them. Take the oil, whisky and Susan Boyle but please, for the love of feck, don't make us take the Scousers.

It's like the wife wanting a divorce and the husband forcing her to take the old, psycho border collie that stinks of piss.

His (Falcao's) goal return numbers are good but his underlying numbers had started to fall off

Ahh, that explains it...

Post if the week

My friend today said that he's rather have Sterling and Sturridge than Di Maria and Falcao. Needless to say he isn't my friend any more.

That isn't really surprising. Don't get me wrong, I think Di maria and Falcao could be amazing players for United but Liverpool fans should rate Sterling and Sturridge very highly.
