RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

I wonder what would happen if you did the same logic with the Liverpool squad...
Someone please. I actually think it might be interesting. RVP and Rooney could easily play for a no.1 club, same with De Gea, he says generous, it's anything but. It falls a part a bit when you're asking what teams squad players would get into the first XI for.... Perhaps if you gave a best XI and then rated it....

I hope he's inverted the points I.E Di Maria = 18. It would be even more retarded if not.

FFP is one of the best things that could have happened to United. They are completely unhindered by it and it greatly affects their rivals.

It's like cheat mode on Football Manager for them.

How about taking a team that finished 9th, 14th, 15th, 8th & 16th in the 5 years before the Arabs took over to the Champions League within 3 years? Then won the league 2 out of the last 3 seasons. That's cheat mode.

Just been reading the Manchester United thread on there (first time ever) and they are going on about how our midfield is still shit. How can Liverpool fans call our midfield shit when they have Steven Gerrard/Jordan Henderson and Joe Allen?

When we get players back from injury Carrick/Blind/Herrera/Di Maria/Felliani, that midfield pisses all over theirs.

They are going on about United's lack of pace too, people overrate pace too much, the great Barcelona team of 09-12 never had pace other than Messi, we've got pace though if we want to use pace in Young/Valenica, shit as they are they was our wingers that won the league 14 months ago, Luke Shaw also has pace and Di Maria.

They're still carrying on about our spending. Do they not realise that we've had money to spend for a long time and that our income is massive and rising each year? Why is it so hard to understand that while 130 million net (might be less by the end of the window) spend is a lot, it's by no means putting us in a similarly precarious situation to Leeds?

The bitterness is ugly.

Liverpool haven't exactly gone steady in the transfer market.

They've spent like £140m themselves, whats that, about £20m less than us?

We are about 3 x the size of club they are in the global market. Unfortunately we cannot attract the big names.

Unsurprisingly they're not happy that we're no longer spending our money servicing debt and replacing players like Ronaldo with Michael Owen on a free.

I love the reaction on RAWK to the "failed medical" rumours. So much delight in the possibility, but falcao doesn't improve us, right? They're also contesting the extension time we have to complete the paperwork.

Not worried about us signing players of Falcao's quality at all.

A lot of posts in here tonight will end up in their meltdown thread, almost as if we're shitting it. Who the feck cares if they sign Falcao? We've still got the better and more balanced team.

They're not shitting it. It's important to say that every couple of posts. They're not shitting it. Herrera is shite, we have no defence. They're not shitting it. Despite being up at 2 in the morning complaining about the transfer going through late and hoping he'd failed his medical. But they're not shitting it! Alright? ALRIGHT?!

Also, are they aware how bad their defence is too? I mean I think we can all see how weak we are at the back. We've been crying out for a centre half. They're oblivious though.

On Falcao:

OK.

It's the new Liverpool supporter mantra now that "you can't attract quality players without Champions League football" has proven false. I awoke this morning to the following message: "How's Falcao at defending? Or playmaking? It's a bit like giving fake tits to someone that needs a heart transplant." This was quickly followed by, "All fur coat, no knickers." I got a similar string of messages when we signed Di Maria.

How many of them just realized they "always really rated Welbeck"?

Seen brilliant quotes about how underrated Welbeck has always been, how much potential he has and how he'll go on and do a Sturridge!! Funny, i thought when when compared our Danny to sturridge the resident scousers told us he was shite.

Their transfers and our sales are aways less . Our purchases and their sales always more. Linked players to us and our players are shite, linked players to them and their players are. World class. Got to love them, they make are best days even better.

We also have a worse attack than the top four according to most of them over there, with some suggesting Tottenham have a better attack.

Apparently, this list of players: Rooney, Van Persie, Falcao, Di Maria, Mata, Januzaj, is not even close to: Sturridge, Balotelli, Sterling, Coutinho, Lallana, Markovic.

Aw shit, it sucks we don't have Champions League football, otherwise we would've been able to attract world class talents like Rickie Lambert instead of always crocked, past it Falcao.

To be fair (and I agree completely that RAWK is one of the weirdest, most deluded places on earth): The atmosphere on here changed so quickly, it's almost rawkish. Almost everybody was clamoring their lungs out that United need a better central midfield and better defense after the Burnley game - and I concur - but you sign one big name striker and all of a sudden it's all sunshine. It's exactly this kind of masking weaknesses for years that got you into this situation.

Just my 2 cents.

Away with you. Caf smarty smart, RAWK a bunch of idiots. And so forth.

You know we've signed 1 DM, 2 CM's just window, right? 2 of those weren't available, and the other we signed a couple of days before the Burnley game.

It's far from all sunshine, we've not been very spoilt with quality signings and we got 2-3 just this window, so of course the optimism is going to be high.

We didn't have our new signings available (except for Di Maria) for the Burnley game. We have Herrera to come back into the midfield and we've since signed Blind, which leaves me much more confident about the shape and balance of our midfield.

People seem to also completely overlook the fact our defense has only really been stretched when our build-up play has broken down due to poor passing and the lack of a holding midfielder to drop back and demand the ball (which Blind will do). We've also not conceded that many goals if you exclude our second 11's atrocious display against MKDons. We've only scored 2 goals in 3 league games so far. Our business has been very good in addressing our weaknesses we just haven't been able to see the fruits of it yet. We can't change the fact Shaw and Herrera have been injured while Rojo's not been able to get his work permit sorted out.

it will take time for the team to click. Hopefully we can get some good results as they all gel together.
