RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

Mighty Red: The Legend Continues...

United the corporate whore, while Liverpool are a gritty community club.

Yeah, right.

To be fair I'm right with the Liverpool fans on this. Mascots are embarrassing. Fred the Red is an embarrassment too. They reek of adults thinking they know what children like. Kids going to football matches are going to see Rooney or Gerrard, not some reprobate in a foam costume. Nobody wants these mascots.

I investigated how the 2 clubs utilise their respective puppet icons. Mighty is more proactive in the olde outreach work than Fred who kids visit at OT for birthday parties & ground/museum tour (paid for obv). Mighty goes to the schools and witters on about learning and equality and anti racism and so forth. Which is why he needs a car, innit? And a mascot co-ordinator.

2009. Laughing at one of their own losses, or 1 of ours?

I remember them getting flogged by Arsenal in the Champions League quarters or rd of 16 around that time

Edit: Google tells me it was Chelsea in the quarters. Strange thing to post on twitter..
United's 2-2 home draw with Porto I believe.

On DiMaria -

This might turn out to be the biggest luxury signing ever made. 52 appearances 10 goals, playing with Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema - imagine what Sterlings stats would have been in that team last year??
Big step down for Di Maria in his career basically joining a club with zero European football shows the height of his ambitions. It's all about the money.
His hands basically been forced in this transfer. The elite sides in the top few leagues didn't need/want him (Bayern/City/Barca/Chelsea) and the rest of the CL clubs couldn't afford the ridiculously inflated fee for him. He obviously didn't fancy the French league with PSG so he's gone with next best thing, the 'no-CL football but earning obscene money at a fallen giant' option.

He's not the best attacking winger in the world, regardless of how Mancs have changed their tune to suggest he is, so he wasn't as sought after as one might have you believe.
but the whole £59.7m (or whatever it is) is way way way above his true worth, just smacks of panic buying, they would have probably paid £100m just because they needed a big name to keep the fans happy.

they still need 4-5 top players if they want to get anywhere near top 4 this season.
Desperate roll of the dice.

If they don't make the CL this season they are so fecked.

" Liverfool..Loserpool...bindeppers..."

when someone calls us like that, you should stop reading his post, because he's probably some 14yr old kid from fecktastan

:lol::lol::lol:

This guy is honestly comedy gold. Every time I see one of his posts on us I break into laughter.

feck off. Gunnersaurus is heroic.

So Chelsea are more elite than us? Okay then Liverpool, okay

Tottenham 0:3 Liverpool
Come on chaps, you can't honestly tell me they have nothing to say about Falcao?

Liverpool fans on my Facebook feed are taking the piss out of United for signing Di Maria, Falcao, Herrera, Rojo, Blind and Shaw and calling us "Desperate"

They've signed Lambert, Lallana, Emre Can, Lovren, Moreno, Origi and Markovic.

We're desperate because we sign better players?

Usual whining about fee, injury, not required, midfield will be run over, if we don't finish top 4 then we are fecked next year, still no top 4, blah blah.

I actually think those are valid concerns. The others are nonsense though.

They're saying he's the biggest panic buy ever. Even more than Di Maria.

Oh to make panic buys of the quality of Di Maria and Falcao...

The general tone is that Falcao is an absolute crock, Balotelli is of similar quality + 4 years younger and that Falcao would cost 100m in total loan fees for 1 year.

And that unless we sign Vidal and Benetia, we're never getting back into the top 4. Ever. Because Shaw, Rojo, Herrera and Blind are absolute shit who has never played at the highest level and have little to zero premier league experience. Despite the fact that they have not even started a single game for us this season.

Di Maria and Falcao are panic buys that Liverpool passed up on because Lallana and Balotelli were their first choice anyway, and spending so much money is for losers like United, Chelsea and City.

And that we're on an eternal downward spiral and will go bankrupt next year and go into administration like Leeds United if we fail to get top 4 again.

And that Liverpool's team has always been in the top 4 and will never drop out because their team is filled with players that can walk into any team in the world.

So bitter that we can attract actual World Class players, even without Europe, it frightens them.

Well yeah, not everything they spout is shit. Just giving out a general impression of what I read. As far as not required is concerned, I was certain he wasn't but with RVP surgery concern and Chico gone Real , this isn't as unnecessary as it was.

If both teams continue playing 2 strikers, they have Lambert on the bench if they need a goal. We have one of Falcao, Rooney or RvP.

They keep going on about how we've not improved the midfield on there. Are they blind, or just plain stupid? I really do hate that place. How can human beings be so deluded.

Blind, Herrera, Di Maria >>>>> Fletcher, Anderson, Cleverley

Honestly. Yeah, the defence still looks weak but how anyone can come to the conclusion that our midfield is still shit are kidding themselves. If we sign Vidal too, that would really rub it in.

They'll still somehow find a way to call us shit.

Even funnier when they said we need a Lovren, yeah the same Lovren who has looked just as shaky as he did at Lyon in his first Liverpool games. Balotelli is now the most talented striker in the prem, and Markovic is faster than anyone in our team. I always have to laugh when they add more money on to our supposed fees and wages for players just to make their club look better. Weird weird bunch.

Phil Thompson ignored about 2 players that we have signed just to convince himself we are weaker. Rooney and Fletcher in midfield?

It's all Mighty Red's fault.

Someone as blatantly biased as Phil Thompson should not be on TV. At least try to hide your bitterness, once a bin dipper...........

Until we have Ronaldo, Bale, Messi, Vidal, Strootman, Di Maria, Lahm, Alaba, Hummels, Neuer and Chiellini as our first 11, they would still say that their team is better. Well, I suspect they'll still find a way to call our team shit.
