RAWK Goes Into Meltdown | 2013/14

Rodgers proves his system works in Europe! This time next year they'll have won it 6 times! Prepare the bus!

The bus has been on the road since the end of this season. Rodgers has told the driver he's not to park it, they're doing moving re-fuels.

At least if you guys want to discuss events of Liverpool playing some team worse than conference teams in this thread, please do it using quotes from RAWK on how world class Aspas, Borini etc are proving themselves in that match. If not anything else, it will provide entertainment to everyone.

Don't lose your rag.

I think my favourite RAWK post ever was one where a guy made up a fake United fan and fake argument with said United fan, and still lost the argument. A fictional person beat the guy in the argument, that was a classic.

That sounds amazing. I have never seen it though sadly :(

Ok:

Our young lads are taking Shampoo Rovers apart! Fair play to Brendan - he's really uploaded his futuristic fillosofy into the Liverpool Football Club group; this can only be good news for Liverpool Football Club, and also the Football Club of Liverpool. Watch out, Europe - the mighty Reds are back!
*Dad's Army theme plays*

Apparently that flew over the Aviva Stadium while they were playing this evening.

Plane banners are all the rage these days.

Edit: It was posted in the Twitter thread. My bad.

If we get Liverpool at home in the first game of next season, we should have flags and banners and flares and sing We're Going to Win the League as the Liverpool bus arrives.

Was his name Clint Eastwood by any chance? I recall he managed to lose an argument against a chair once. On stage.

Oh yeah I kind of remember that, it was pretty crazy. Dunno if Damo would be able to find that, only a robot of his superpowers could... Or Steve maybe, who's a real RAWKite.

No way that happened

No way that happened

It happened, the argument was about the last team to win the First Division before the Premier League was made. The imaginary United fan said Leeds, which the RAWKite argued against most vehemently, I think saying it was Arsenal.

The best part of that Caf page is the response;

Somewhere in Liverpool tonight, a grown man is talking to a sock with a face drawn on it.

I was going to say you couldn't make it up.... But he did. Surely it was someone on a wind-up.

Even if it is, this guy:

He's right.
Leeds won the last "first division championship" in 1992.
Man Utd won the first premiership in 1993.

Backing up the fictional United fan as though he's real! It is actual madness.

In fact most, if not all, are responding as though it was a real conversation, completely ignoring that the guy has quite clearly stated it's entirely fictional.

Fans around in 1992... how similar was that collapse to Liverpool's?
It was an odd one, we battered West Ham away and somehow lost 1-0, we were arguably the better side against Liverpool and lost 2-0 and in the meantime Leeds were benefiting from some very comic defending by sheff utd, if you get a chance look up that game on youtube it was mental.

Lol looking at that RAWK end of season special post It's hilarious how all Liverpool fans seem to go on about every team spending as if they don't spend or something, the way you hear some of them speak all morally high and mighty or something is as if they genuinely think they are trying to win the league with 11 home grown academy raised players or something, or is that just my experience with them?

Either way, umm, no.

Transfer expenditure over the last 5 years:

Liverpool: 309,950,000
Manchester United: 267,550,000
Arsenal: 188,275,000

Yes obviously City have spent more:

Manchester City: 640,650,000

Everyone knew City spent more, my point is Liverpool go on as if they are fighting evil and literally don't spend and only use all homegrown academy players...

No, you spend, and spend big when needed, time to realise you are just like everyone else..

Best part is some of them saying referees were against them and dodgy decisions cost them the title.

Imagine if refs weren't against them, how many penalties they would have got then..

Highlights from the hilarious thread 'Why the Neutrals are rooting for Liverpool':

You must have noticed it, especially if you live outside Liverpool. It’s impossible not to. Every football supporter you know who doesn’t have his own dog in the race wants the Reds to win the Title. This isn’t just a slight preference either. It can come with a zeal which is strange in a world where allegiance to the crest demands you speak cautiously or grudgingly before offering a compliment to someone else’s colours. But that’s what is happening. The neutrals want Liverpool to win. Not the referees – as the demented Mourinho is now saying – but the fans...

Gerrard
Show me a mate you know who likes football and doesn’t want to see Gerrard get his medal? I’ll show you someone who doesn’t love life enough!

Occasion
It’s the same in Europe too. They want us back because the Champions League suffers when there are no Anfield nights. It seems somehow incomplete.

Money……or lack of it
It’s a bit rich – as it were – to call us poor. We’re not skint by any means. But put us alongside the behemoths of Chelsea and Manchester City and we do look like the peasantry. We shouldn’t underestimate the impact of this. On a psychological level Liverpool FC are reclaiming the game for everyone.

A British team
OK it’s not British.

I was rooting for Liverpool. Just because United supporters weren't doesn't mean neutrals weren't either.

Having said that some of those reasons are preposterous.

That's kinda the point, Cescy - the entitled assumption that practically all neutrals wanted a Liverpool victory.

FWIW, I enjoyed watching them play this past season.
