"But there is no two ways about it, if there was no Roman Abramovich (Chelsea owner) or the guy (Sheikh Mansour) who bought Manchester City I'd have two or three league titles sitting here now."

Gerrard you plonker, this must of been written by somebody on RAWK for him, my guess would be Andy@ Allerton

Liverpool would be on at least 30 titles and 15 European Cups by now if it weren't for Mr. Ferguson

Carragher would have probably found the cure for cancer by now if it wasnt for SAF. Imagine what such genius could have achieved if he wasn't so focus in getting an EPL medal.

Damn you SAF!!!

Liverpool are lucky that the two sugar daddies took over Man City and Chelsea otherwise it'd have been more titles more United.Gerrard is as deluded as his fans

He said something similar close to the start of the season and then at most a week later, when Liverpool came under some criticism for the way they played he came out with the old "One or two players short of challenging" soundbite. I don't think he has a clue what he's talking about any more.

I am sure there is a line as long as the IPhone 5 queueing up to suck him off now. King of a small pond.

To be fair to Gerrard they are only two players short of a title challenge

These two.....

That doesnt make sense.
Liverpool havent finished above united since Abramovich took over...
And they havent signed any players off Liverpool... why would they?

So how would Chelsea and City being shit mean league titles for Liverpool?

Someone's photoshopped Evans out of that picture.

and that, folks, shows Gerrard is a rawkite

Maybe he believes that if those newly rich clubs hadn't come in Liverpool would have landed all the good transfers like Silva and Agüero and such.

But making sense of Scouser nonsense is probably futile.

I can go back on a particular forum to when they finished 7th and pinpoint when I said "It's going to be 10x harder to land your targets now, these next few transfer windows will be key.." surprise surprise.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but the radio sports show that woke me up this morning was talking about the Red Sox and how they have had their worse season since in nearly 50 years. They blamed it on John Henry and the ownership group prioritizing Liverpool over the Red Sox.

If that is a popular opinion in Boston you would expect John Henry to come under pressure in Boston to reverse his priorities. I wonder what the talk is on RAWK about the fear that the owners will start to spend their money on the Red Sox and leave Liverpool hanging?

So,in the US, the red sox having their worst season for 50 years, and its henerys fault for concentrating in Liverpool.

Meanwhile, over here Liverpool having their worst season for 100 years, and its henry's fault for not concentrating on Liverpool enough.

Perhaps is henry went off somewhere and just left his money, they'd both do well.

It's not. The Red Sox made bad signings. That's about the extent of it.

Radio guys in America just make shit up to stir people up.

I used to work in radio. That's pretty standard nonsense.

Plus, it gets the Red Sox nation (about as delusional as Liverpool nation) to blame something other than the players for shit performances. Remember there is still a vast percentage of Americans that believe soccer is for kids and women, and is a socialist, communist sport played by far'ners.

Red Sox/Liverpool are quite similar. History, tradition, delusional fan base, great stadium that is well outdated and small, and most importantly, a strong sense of inferiority complex to their biggest rival (Yankees/United).

He added: "I know I am good enough to play in a side to win the league and I know I am a good enough player to win the league but sometimes stuff is out of your control."

Altogether now "it's never your fault....."

Interviewer: What are Liverpool's realistic hopes for this season?
Gerrard: Top four and try and win a trophy

Didn't take him long to forget what he said in the previous interview, did it?

 BFTGT made a nice overview of his comments in the past, which has this gem in it:
February 27th 2008: “We can’t keep talking about next season all the time. There is only so many times you can say it and believe it. Sooner or later we have to make one season the season where we make it happen and do the talking on the pitch. We need to make people believe it. I’m 27 now, I don’t want to be talking about next season for Liverpool when I’m 32.”

May 17th 2009: “Sometimes you just have to go for it and take big risks to win the kind of games that we have drawn. But we’ve learned a lot and I think next year could be our year – I’m really confident about that.
And they finished 7th (23 points off Chelsea) in the 09-10 season. :p

It's not nice but we need to surround the ref like that fecking duck Ferdinand and his friends did with Shelvey the other week.

Yeah, you can't see the ref for all those white shirts. :wenger:

Give a dog a bad name, beat him some more and don't bother feeding him and thats what you get. Pathetic as it was, and it was, sometimes when you've given up on getting anything, then what have you got left? feck it eh?

:wenger:

Edit:
Pulis moaning about diving is like me finding a bee's nest, belting it with a cricket bat, then moaning that I'm covered in fecking bee stings.

What the feck?! I mean What the actual feck?! What are these analogies? I'm speechless really.

I used to think they were a delusional bunch. Now I just think they are fecking retarded. There is no politically correct evasion from it.
