Never a red, got the ball and it was one footed. We are dominating United so when they are losing their 12th man comes to the rescue. Wasn't much worse than Evra's foul on Sterling, he got off without a yellow.

Robbed.

Bent ref determined to ruin it like usual to spare the FA darlings blushes.

Shelveys challenge = yellow.
Evans challenge = red.

Shelvey went in one footed, his other foot was well out of the way. Evans jumped in with two feet. Shelvey won the ball.

It's over. It's Liverpool 1, Football Association 2.

Jamie Reknapp's joining in the mayhem on Sky...

"Everything's gone against Liverpool today"

Genuinely suspicious of the refereeing performance today.
..

By the way, these aren't the 'best of' the thread, this is every single post so far.

Cannot fecking believe that ref. You want evidence of corruption? Go watch that fecking game again.

Corrupt as feck. Physically shaking with anger.

Don't even know why I'm surprised.

I'd have the team surrounding the referee at every fecking opportunity from now on, and Brendan out in the press every fecking week until decisions start going our way. fecking sick of this.

Is Mark Halsey the only man in the UK who doesn't understand the word JUSTICE! Possibly the most unjust performance on the most important of days!

Jose: Rodgers can't win title with Reds
September 23, 2012

Jose Mourinho has delivered a damning indictment of Liverpool's current predicament under new boss Brendan Rodgers, insisting the 39-year-old cannot win the Premier League while he remains at Anfield.

Mourinho is a big fan of Rodgers, having worked with the Northern Irishman during his time at Chelsea. The Real Madrid boss rates him as a coach and as a person, but he fears for his future at Liverpool.

The Reds are yet to win a league game under Rodgers this season ahead of Sunday's encounter with Manchester United. And Rodgers has already been introduced to the financial shortcomings of the club after he released Andy Carroll on loan, only to see no new face arrive as replacement on transfer deadline day.

Mourinho sees that situation as indicative of the problems his old colleague faces at Liverpool, and he has ruled out the chance of the Reds winning the Premier League under his stewardship. In Mourinho's eyes, the Merseysiders should lower expectations and give their manager time to spark a change of culture at the club.

"Brendan can't be a champion with that team. He can't make miracles. And it's difficult because expectations are so high," Mourinho told Sky Sports News.

"The reality is that Liverpool are not the best team right now. Not even close. Other clubs are investing much more than they are.

"I hope he has time to build, because if he doesn't have the right players in his hand, it takes more time to build. I think he deserves that and - with time - he will improve them."

Asked who he thought would win the league this season, Mourinho failed to commit an answer, but he did express his admiration for the work done by Arsene Wenger - who continues to build quality teams despite regular departures of his best players.

"Man City have an incredible squad and can make quality rotations," Mourinho said. "Man United are Man United. Sir Alex Ferguson doesn't accept not winning the Premiership two seasons in a row.

"I like this Arsenal team, I like the way Arsene is building the team. I think they can be a positive surprise. I like this team more than the previous season."

Wouldn't have it any other way

Yeah, it's funny. I wouldn't be too excited about how you lot got dominated today though. Obviously you have to factor in that it was a cup-final for them but I'm not convinced with your team just yet.

Evra looks very poor.

Something needs to be done. That was one of the most biased reffing performances I have ever seen, worse than Webb! Rodgers needs to have a go at this utter c*nt of a ref :no fecking seething here. How the actual feck is this allowed to happen every time? What's worse, the media will gloss over it and Mancs will deny they ever receive favouritism. How many penalties have they got this season from dives?
..

It's a real possibility they could take take no points from their first 5 games. Sunderland is the easiest fixture there but they struggled last season. Arsenal, City and United make up the other three.

Wasn't far off, just 2 points. They are shit.

Happens every fecking year though, I can't remember a convincing performance from us in the league there over the last few years.

Evra was poor, he has been a bit better than last season, didn't help that he was getting booed by the ignorant masses. Buttner looks promising though and he should share a lot of the game load.

My emotions are running high, never screamed so much at the telly in me life, ref is a c*nt.

German TV went off as soon as the final whistle went, but I hope someone decked Halsey for that performance. What a fecking inept twat. I'm not going to say that he's biased, but that was a fecking woeful performance right from the off...
We deserved to win this, but regardless of the result I blame the owners, their a fecking disgrace and completely out of the depth, just like the last lot I'm afraid, just not as fecking intimidating. If we sack anyone this year, it should be them.

:lol:The Owners are even taking flack!

LFC need to make a complaint to FIFA

Beyond ridiculous now. Every fecking game decisions go against us. We get absolutely feck all while the other team gets everything. And Man Utd just get everything vs everyone. Something needs to be done about this, it's gone on for too long. Let's just talk about the decisions today - Shelvey shouldn't have got sent off, it was one footed, second leg came trailed on the followup, always going to happen, impossible to keep the other leg away Evans and RvP should have got sent off for sure, especially if Shelvey's was a red card Evra should have been booked/red carded for a nasty challenge on Sterling (possibly in the box) Scholes also made a bad challenge on Sterling in the box, should be a red as it was just as bad as Shelvey's, then again it would have been a penalty for us Suarez should have got a penalty against Evans, just before Scholes' challenge Valencia was never a penalty, clear dive yet it was given (nothing from the commentator, if that was Suarez definite dive) And every 50/50 went in their favour

I think the Africans cursed Suarez and any team he plays for. Thats the only explanation I have to why absolutely EVERYTHING goes against us. We dominate, we play amazing football and yet every decision goes against us!! feckin fuming right now. Halsey owes me a new PS3 controller!!!

It was probably nicked anyway

Those darn Africans, always causing trouble.

Decisions went against Liverpool but they could have pushed on anyway when they went in front, but couldn't because they're not good enough to do so. They're a midtable team with a few dashes of quality here and there.

:lol::lol:'

I hope to God some fans investigate and try to actually blame it on a witch doctor. Please!

His face after he sent Jonjo off said everything. The decision was made with half the united team in his ear.

Yeah cause we were the ones swarming around him

they were the better side.

They did not play 'amazing football' though. Despite dominating possession they hardly created a clear chance in the first half.

Very very poor from United and I reckon the manager will be all over them in training this week.

Wasn't far off, just 2 points. They are shit.

Hilariously shit, they played at their best today also, considering how they treat games against us as their cup final combined with the general tone and expression of emotion due to today.
