Lads i think serioius questions have to be asked about the owners and the clubs finances if we can't stump up the cash for Dempsey after all the waste we have trimmed. Something is seriously amiss here.
Probably not going to go down well but if Kenny hadn't pissed away £35m on the geordie lump we would have had the funds to secure Dempsey and possibly be be in the running for van Persie.

It's all Fernando fecking Torres' fault.

For feck sake Torres, all your fault!

If you think about it, Berba going to Fulham probably meant they were pretty chilled about Dempsey so didn't panic sell to Liverpool, so In a roundabout kinda way Fergie strikes again!!

It's basically like saying I have to pay a power bill today that costs $400 dollars, but it's also payday and I've just received $900 from work, THEREFORE I have made $500 as a direct result of paying the power bill.

It's not like that at all. You at least know you will receive your $900 on payday. What are the odds they get the 50 mill from CL qualification?

Horrendous squad

And the tin foil hat, head in the sand, victim-like excuses have started:

Dempsey was always going to be a tough tough negotiation... It was the cream of the crop to get Dempsey, but Fulham, knowing Jol, (He hates Liverpool, and is a very annoying clever, anti liverpool), he wouldn't want Dempsey to come to Liverpool, and he'd do everything to make Dempsey not come here... so...you know...

You offered 4 fecking million

Horrendous squad

That's what, 25 players? Including several young/reserve players, two goalkeepers that won't play, a loan signing who didn't want to be there, and a Lucas who is injured for a couple of months and Joe Cole who's also fecked.

Not the strongest squad really, is it?

While Liverpool's transfer involvements are hilarious. What's even more hilarious is that all this crying and moaning is over Clint fecking Dempsey.

How far their standards have fallen.

As far as strikers go we had Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck sitting on the bench. They have at this point, no one.

Even Fulham and Everton have potentially more potent strikers than them. One word. Midtable.

Christ...I thought that Rodgers was finally righting their ship but this is fantastic comedy on a kopkingkenny scale. How on earth could they feck up bringing a player like Dempsey in?

I know which strikeforce id rather have

The racist, borini and morgan or jelavic, naismith and mirallas

Id take evertons every day of the week

The thing of it is, is Dempsey even that hot of a property? He's a decent enough striker but not what I'd call top-class and deserving of a top 4 club.

If you missed it earlier, don't forget that LFCTV will be repeating their 4 hour long Deadline Day Special at 10am this morning.

Relive the moment when Nathan Eccleston joined Blackpool.

I wouldn't have thought so. I saw someone in another thread declare it a great piece of business and negotiating from Spurs getting him for £6m, while criticising United's negotiating. I don't get it, £6m is about all he's worth.

I had one lad on my Facebook declaring how it's all ok because everyone wanted them to play like Spain and Spain don't use strikers.................................

6 mill is a small price for Levy to ensure that Poo struggle this year.
