Actually I prefer to think of it as his reputation/pedigree has gone upward since his role and position on the pitch has gotten deeper and deeper.

First he looked shite playing in attacking midfield. Too slow and a headless chicken.
Then he started to withdraw to the deeper midfield role. Couldn't really playmake but would close and break up play well. "He's an AM playing as a DM guys."
Now being withdrawn to almost a stunted anchor limited ball winning DM who gets a nosebleed if he goes too far forward he 'improved' then became 'world class' when he got injured.

He is an enigma, that is for sure. I personally have never seen anyone foul people so much and get praised as a 'fantastic' tackler.

I don't know what that means but I can't imagine anyone ever trying to insult someone they don't know anonymously on a forum over the internet, I'm going to assume it's a compliment. Thank you.

Okay apparently 17 mil for carroll(though that didn't work out) + champions league money = 57 mil

So,

1. Sell carrol for 17 mil (though in reality they are loaning him for 1 mil)
2. Somehow selling carroll get's them into the champions league
3. Profit
 
So right now, save a Million in wages, plus another million for a loan deal, that's 2 Million and another 40 Million from Champs League money.

feck me, that's a 42 Million Profit out of thin air.

Nothing against the lad, I quite like him, but his signing was a colossal feck up. Obviously he's not to blame, he didn't dictate that ridiculous fee, but this has to go down as one of the worst transfers of all time.

I daresay the worst transfer of all time. At least Torres and Shevchenko were world class proven strikers. Torres might still come good this season.


I don't think Carroll is going to get world class service at West Ham. Don't feel his value will increase much. On one hand though, he's got less pressure on him, on the other hand he must feel like a complete joke.
 
Brothers and sisters, on this day we have seen the highs such as Nani possibly getting a new contract and not being sold, we have seen lows such as Berbatov finalizing a move to Fulham but on this dark and mysterious August evening I present to you a calamity. Liverpool Football Club have let go of Andy Carroll or as he was better know - Donkey. We have had many laughs but it all ends today unfortunately and for that I am very sorry.

Let the mourning period begin.
