RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2012/2013)

So he bite someone again...what's the big deal? When did football turn into a sport where biting became such a huge issue...

Ain't that the truth. I remember a time when players could have a quick nibble without as much as a caution. Robbo used to bite people all the time - he even had a go at his own team mates at half time if he was feeling a bit peckish. Sic transit gloria mundi.

And that about sums up the biggest problem Liverpool FC face. Times have changed and football has moved on without them. It seems they are still stuck, fixated, if you will somewhere in the late 80s or early 90s.

The club should really come out and explain their stand. Also, I am not sure how much Brendan was involved in it. We amy say it is Suarez's decision, but he must have been consulted and adviced by the club. Now the question is, did IA took it to himself to talk with him, completely bypassing Brendan, or was Brendan involved?
I can't believe after yesterday's emotional speech, Brendan will let Suarz surrender so meekly.
No mate, its probably all very simple.
BR: Luis , have a think about it, whatever you decide we'll back you.
LS: Cheers Boss, I'll let you know.
BR: No worries. See you tomorrow.

Next day,

LS: Boss, Ive had a think and id rather leave it there.
BR: OK mate. No worries. Tea ?

I love the hypothetical conversations

On Suarez not appealing:

I am going to drown myself in liquor tonight
I hope Uraguay knock England out of the World Cup next year with Suarez scoring a last minute winner.
After he bites John Terry in the 90th minute and is shown a yellow card.
I feel like Job at the moment. We're tunneling through a load of shit with no feckin' redemption.

Notice it wasn't 'a' job

Not appealing wouldn't be so bad if the club then did the right thing.

Close ranks, feck the FA and feck the media. Ban the shithouses from Anfield, feck off the FA Cup, feck them with their internationals. But they wont.

Shafted doesn't even skim the surface.

:wenger:

"It's SAF". "It's United". "It's Evra". "It's the FA". "It's the media". "It's xenophobia". "It's our weak club owners." "It's modern football". "It's pc gone mad"; at what point, if any, is Luis Suarez to blame? Y'know...the guy whose fault it actually is?

Everyone is all "Well in, Luis, lad. Pointless appealing anyway". However, macca's not happy

'Ang on a mo, are the club still shithouses for not appealing? Is Luis a shithouse for not appealing? Is that all fair then? Or is it now justified? Ahh feck it, I couldn't give two fecks any more.

"Many things have been said and written about me, I just tried to do my best on the field."

No Luis, many things have been said and written about just how low you will sink to do your "best" on the field.

If its Luis decision then fine. Feelers no doubt have been put out and been thrown in our face by the FA. I would quit playing in the FA Cup and hope some of the senior players immediately resign from playing in the national side. fecking c*nts. Independent panel my fecking arse. Good luck at Bayern or Barca Luis, will still be behind you whilst looking on from the relegation zone next season, you deserve to play in a better, less prudish and not prone to righteous indignation whenever men behave like women type of culture. Thank you for some incredible times, the best in decades. Hello Gary Lineker goody two shoes LFC bending over for one and all. Very close to being done with the whole thing right now. Not worth the fecking hassle.

Hahaha!

Statement from Rodgers and Ayre shortly.

Ian get your fecking grid off the site and the tele. You should be in the background. Sick of it.
Pathetic statement from the Club.
Spineless is what it is. Isolate Luis to make the decision so all the blame is on him. Truly pathetic.
The club didn't bite a player on his arm.
Yes they did, he represents all of us in that red shirt, I guess that's where we differ as fans. Luis is one of us and he should never walk alone especially in his darkest times.
Felt like welling up read Luis's statement. Does any other player in the league have such class and dignity as him? I don't think so. Stay strong Luis.

Comedy central!

Either a manc or an idiot.

To sum it up: The club they allegedly support are a bunch of shithouses for...what? For allowing Suarez not to appeal the FA's ban, for not closing ranks and for not acting like paranoid nutters. They disregard the man's own statement - which is, in all fairness, a normal, well-advised one under the circumstances.

He is now either a man who has been abandoned by the shithouses who run the club - or a man "brought to silence" by these same shithouses who have in their turn been intimidated by all the other shithouses from Fergie to David Cameron. It's evident that a segment of Liverpool's support has gone from being football fans to being members of some kind of bizarre personality cult. And what a personality to inspire such devotion.

This is my favourite.

Witch-hunt from start to finish. Anyone else would've got 3 games.

Completely ignoring the 7 game ban for biting he got in a totally unrelated league.

Or was that Manchester United as well?

Does this mean we can replace the saying "4 match ban for Evra" with "10 match ban for Suarez"?

Can't believe they'll understand if LS7 wants to leave, even wishing him well, infact telling him to go for a better tomorrow

This guys wrecks your season by making your best striker banned for something stupid... twice! banned 10 games, cry foul, and using it as an excuse of being driven out of the country

fecking stupid the whole lot of them

Bet he's laughing his ass off, now he can feck off from Liverpool and join bigger club playing in the CL, knocking down his price so his agent can negotiate a bigger sign on fee without having to write a transfer request while having the scouser in tears waving hankies and wishing him well

Yes, take the risk. Give it a try. And if they make it even more ridiculous, appeal to the UEFA. I don't think the FA are competent. They're afraid because of the media. The best thing for them is when we shut up and disappear. Then they can look tough and hard and powerful. They're like the big bully at school. And we let them have their fun with us.

Ya couldn't make it up.

Anyone seeing any contradiction in this post?

Oh and the funniest fecker over there must be Waltraute who decides to quote me..........what a complete and utter bellend

But why are they so uptight and arsey about everything anyway?
If they're determined to be absolute and utter barm-pots they'll have to live with people laughing at them; maybe some of that classic self-deprecating Scouse humour wouldn't go amiss?

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- the difference between the actual match-going Scousers I know and this lot of silly & precious foilhatters is astronomical.

If he moves on this summer it will be perfect timing for all involved really. The fans will blame the FA (and us probably) so the club can get rid and make a tidy profit without the fans blaming them and Suarez can move to a bigger club without losing his idol status.

I love reading through this thread with a cup of tea and something to munch on, bloody hilarious!

Just seen this on Facebook...

"Say what you like about him, but we love him at Liverpool becuase on the field hes the most determined and gifted player in the league bar none. Also off the field he's a very humble and down to earth guy by all accounts. He needs anger management not ridiculous suspensions. Luckily the club will look after the player and the FA can continue to appease The Sun reading angry mob and their self-contradictory opinions on justice."

Where to start?

I somehow ended up on the Sunderland forum, and it turns out they're sad obsessed inbreds too!

Then I had a quick look at the few other club forums I know and it turns out most of those are as well;

I guess being obsessed is the only explanation for it, and definitely can't be because people making themselves look like idiots is entertaining.

EDIT: Shit, I just realised I'm now obsessed with Sunderland, Spurs, Newcastle and West Brom. Shucks.

Wait, has every fan forum got a 'RAWK MELTDOWN' thread?
