Boo me all you want, and I generally agree this thread is just for mocking & fun, but I do I think this decent and sane post (from a legit RAWKite with 9k+ posts) deserves a quote --

Best thing Luis could have done, own up, accept it and do the time. Now fecking learn from it! We'll always stick by you but now show us that our faith isn't misguided. We can't just keep taking shots for a player who has a disregard for rules. Get it out of your game and be the player you should be.

Where does the whole "media witchhunt" thing come from? Do they really think Suarez is some big draw that sells papers, forcing the media to overplay everything he does?

Of course not.

I wish I could describe 'how a lone crystal tear rolled down my cheek as this mean, unfair, gender-inappropriate insult hit me like the meteor Melancholia, while I went down on my knees and prayed to St Robbo', but unfortunately not. Just look at that mess; I can't even do purple prose just to annoy.

I just miss our old lot of resident Scousers, especially B9.

It's hard, ain't it? Which is why I firmly believe the most horrid specimens over at RAWK are legit: A WUM simply doesn't have the heart - the bleedin' heart to compose such...er...heartfelt drivel.

Someone mentioned earlier those fantasy dialogues they come up with: A meeting in Brenton's...er...office...and the like. The details in these fantasies are amazing. They are, quite literally, composing fan fiction. All the way down to Brenton adding: "Tea?" at the end of the "conversation". That "tea?" is either proof of authenticity - or proof that a WUM has gone so deeply into the role that he needs to get out, quick. The Donnie Brasco syndrome, you know.
 
Even though that fans of Sunderland, Newcastle, Spurs, Arsenal, West Brom, and many others has the exact same opinion of Suarez, it never dawn on them that maybe all this is Suarez fault.

@reelworld: Actually, I went on all of those sites posted by Olly in an excess of boredom this afternoon. Some of the posters were adamant it was all Luis's doing, particularly on the first two Spurs' boards IIRC. (As an aside, most of those boards looked junked up to me and made me appreciate the layout of the Caf).

The main fallacy with the 'Defoe arguement' is that I dont think anyone, anywhere would think Defoe shouldn't have got banned either.

The FA obviously should have acted in those special circumstances, but what are you supposed to do? Never act upon another bite just because one wasn't punished? At some point you have to set an example.

We all know what they're like when it comes to their incompetent and biased decision making

And when you consider that Suarez has already been burned by them once over the Evra affair, you'd think he'd know better than to do what he did, wouldn't you?

I'm really not arsed about Terry's ban, or what Defoe did, or the countless other examples of corrupt inconsistency on the FA's part.

You can refer to as many examples as you like, but it wont change anything. All it does is confirm what we already know about the FA

Hence I can't help but think "what the feck were you thinking Luis lad?. What the feck else did you expect would happen?"

Because at the end of the day, this entire shit storm wouldn't be swirling around if Suarez had, you know, just not bit the feckers arm.

feck off with the "he shouldn't have done it". Neither should have Defoe. Neither should have the Chester City player. But all did. The difference is, when Suarez does it, he gets a 10 game ban, and the Prime fecking Minister weighing in on it.

When Defoe and the other lad did it, it didn't warrant more than a column in the paper.

Even she says he's a horrible man.
And she wouldn't know a thing about football at all, only that from what she's heard about Suarez in the news.
