Liverpool are going to need something pretty enormous to get back to being successful, you'd think. A takeover, a very successful set of transfer windows in succession, an amazing set of youngsters in conjunction with this, etc... Even if Liverpool do start assembling a quality team, it will get to the point eventually whereby other top clubs will be looking at their team and thinking that purchasing players from them will be realistic. Liverpool's appeal is dwindling fast - the longer they go without bouncing back, the more likely it is that they're historic success is going to be lost on newer generations of fans and footballers.
Give it 5 more years like this and their status as top 4 challengers will be confined to history, never mind their success.
