It's not just that, it's because Suarez is their best player.
If this was some fall-guy like Christian Poulsen or some low profile reserve player they would have long since accepted their guilt and they wouldn't be bothered defending them.
The club wouldn't have released such an inflammatory statement either and risked damaging their reputation. In all likelihood the charge and ban would've been quietly accepted with a non-emotive short public statement and the offender would've been shipped out the back door at the first chance.

I can't find the quote in this huge thread, but someone posted that the RAWK moderators closed the original Suarez thread and posted something like, "This is getting embarrassing". It was also posted that they've changed their tune from innocent to Evra and Suarez should have both been suspended.
If that's true, they should be commended for accepting that Suarez should be banned, if only because it will help keep things from kicking-off when Liverpool visit OT. The posters follow the mods, so I would think it would help spread some reason.

To be fair though, there were some in our fanbase who were calling for us to sign him and he's still their second best signing this summer after Enrique but I suppose that says more about Downing and Henderson than it does about Adam. Their management has little ambition in terms of the players they buy but delusional expectations for them to perform like world class players when they blatantly aren't.
I almost feel sorry for their fans but to be honest most 'pool fans I've known in my life have been so ridiculous with what they come out with, I find it hard to sympathise. I mean I have one lad telling me that United will stop winning in the next few years and when we do we will be in serious trouble, struggling for fourth, and will go into administration, which is of course absolutely ridiculous.
