Cheap shot but I can't help it.

As somebody once said ...."I don't want to get into the numbers game...." but Rafa TOTAL P350 W194 D77 L79 F585 A302 55.43% Europe P85 W48 D17 L20 F140 A68 56.47% If you want statistics Look at those numbers John. Ask Tompkins if you like for the analysis.

On what Rafa should do if interviewed:

Easy.

*Walk in, throw Istanbul DVD on their desk.

*grin

*leave number.

*Walk out.

Just thinking back to when Hodgson was appointed and King Kenny was overlooked...Hodgson didn't stand a chance, he was never going to get full support. And that had an effect on the team.

How many managers being mentioned, other than Rafa, could avoid the same outcome? The moment there is a bad result, Anfield will be shaking to 'Rafa, Rafa-el, Rafa, Rafa-el, Rafa, Rafe-el, Rafa-el Benitez'.

I mean, really, you're looking at someone like Pep Guardiola...and that's about it.

How many times has it been said, "In Rafa we trust"? Because it is TRUE.

FSG want success. So do we. Appoint Rafa.

FSG want to jeopardise their 'investment' by not having the crowd on-side. Don't appoint Rafa.

EXCLUSIVE: Rafael Benitez on shortlist to become next Liverpool manager

Commence the jizzing.

It's Rafa's to lose.

Please fecking do it,FSG.

We had a thread a while back about how it would be lovely one day when Kenny went upstairs (well that didn't happen) that Rafa would take over.........well now is the day. Come on FSG.....bring him home.

Please please please bring Rafa home!

you know something? our club at the moment is not worthy of the great man rafa.

A 30m budget for Rafa is like 60m for any other manager.
Rafa would just need to add a freebie or two,and a couple of 15m Spanish geniuses. And we'd be up and running.

Heh. Good luck getting some good Spanish players for 15m.

New beginning. Forget the shambles of 09/10. It'd be amazing, wouldn't it?

He's just a genius. We'll have our genius of a manager back.

Imagine it.......

And reaction to one of their posts being put on the RAWK_meltdown twitter:

To which Henry could replay

*Removes Istanbul DVD while stating, "Same year as 5th place league finish, behind fecking Everton of all clubs, and only once did you get the club within sight of a league title and United were still miles ahead. You're an overrated fat waiter."

*Laughs

*Inserts Rome DVD, "notice how Milan ran circles around your side that day? Why do the fans never bring up this match?"

*Laughs and walks out

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

No manager in PL history has pissed away more money than Rafa on crap ok well maybe Dalglish. Rafa probably got a couple of players from relegated Villarreal in his sight already in case he gets the job:D

Are the likes of Nunez, Josemi, Morientes etc just forgotten by RAWK? Are they banned from their minds?

All the bad signings are attributed to someone else. They're basically clinging to the last glory they had, they don't care about logic they just want the man back that gave it to them.

They didn't really. Both teams were dreadful. I've never seen such experienced defenders as Milan's backline make such bad mistakes. Maldini was giving the ball away as the last man with a bad first touch under no pressure at one one point.

The game was there to be won by any team up for it on the day. Milan was just a bit less shit and once Mascherano came off, Kaka had space to do his thing.

What is your opinion of RAWK? Are you a member there?

I am a member, but I barely ever even look there. Plenty of posters here who read it much more often than I do.

Besides the fact that this is where all the weirdos conglomerate, the traffic is way too high. Any sensible post just gets drowned out in the waves of unthinking posts and there is no sense of who the other posters are really, except for high profile weirdos like A@A.

Fair enough.

I admit, I read it at least once a day. It's a really entertaining place when I'm sitting here bored at work. So many deluded people, it's even as if some of them pretend to be deluded to fit in with the 'older' members.

I love it.

If they do hire Benitez back I'm sure RAWK will just imagine he really did the walk in, DVD, leave thing. It adds more to the myth that way. Really they should just extend that to its natural conclusion and imagine up all the success he'll bring. A bit like the ending of Brazil, but for e-gimps.

To be fair, there are some very good, grounded posters on RAWK. Trouble is, the more silly/Romantic posts are sometimes so outlandish that they read like comedy (hence this thread). Personally, I sympathise with those Liverpool fans who feel that the club is no longer 'theirs', and understand their antipathy towards club statements like Ian Ayre's most recent one:

“Winning the FA Cup wouldn’t have made any difference (to Kenny Dalglish's position as manager) – it was never about an individual result. It was always about taking a review of the season in full.

“The Carling Cup and The FA Cup don’t generate the revenue and the success that is needed to keep investing.

So, apparently, cups are worthless now...

It's by far the most representative forum of Liverpool fans.

Anyone who doubts that, need only look on twitter, particularly the influential LFC fans who have a lot of followers.

It will make you understand why RAWK is the way it is when you see their opinions.

I used to think not. But after the Suarez thing and previously undermining Hodgson, Rafa obsession you have to say RAWK represents the view of a majority of their fans.

Even if there are sensible blokes like B19 around.

Are the likes of Nunez, Josemi, Morientes etc just forgotten by RAWK? Are they banned from their minds?

They either deliberately choose to not acknowledge ALL those rubbish signings, or they aren't allowed to talk about them.

I almost get the sense it's like a serious big-brother situation there, they're all living in fear and being watched. So they only say nice/good crap... Could explain why they all seem to compete with each other over who can write the most long-winded ode.

Well his statement makes a nice counterpoint to Kenny's claim about how the new shirt deal proves he is being successful.

Can someone tell me if really RAWK auto-correct Sir Alex Ferguson into Mr. Alex Ferguson cause I heard it but I don't want to register in RAWK to try it. The problem is that until now I have never seen someone calling Fergie as Sir Alex Ferguson, only Mr./Mister Alex Ferguson. So, it seems to me that are really only 2 options, RAWK auto-correct it, or mods immediately ban the person who write Sir A.F and delete the post.

The auto-correct is from "Fergie" to "Mr. Alex Ferguson" I believe. There might be one for Sir Alex too as I don't think I've seen anyone say that either, but Twiggy or someone else should be able to say for definite.

I actually had real fecking man tears streaming down my face last night, saddened as to what could and WOULD have beeb under Kenny.

I wasn't even that upset when my granny died and I cried less.

fecksake. Has it come so far down the line of success over manchester that we will accept apparent "success" via any route. Even tho the King, the. Man. Who. Held. Liverpool together twice in living memory, is disregarded. Like a. Frigging. Rag doll. Bastatds.

What. a. bunch. of. bastatds.

It's like something from The Big Sam twitter a/c.

And they're all loving this shit.

Fact was, for us, no one ever smiled quite like Kenneth Matthieson Dalglish.

In due course, the Dalglish smile was to become as inspiring a sight and as much a fixture of the Anfield scene as any of the boundless trophies glinting from the annual open topped victory bus. Radiant. Unbridled. An explosion of innate boyish glee that not only formed a welcoming bridge between those flushed rosy cheeks of his but also lent a sense of blue collar fulfilment to his sweated brow and matted fringe. It was to become Kenny’s trademark. It would become, also, our touchstone; our rising sun. One that would, in turn, come to symbolise an era of excellence without peer in British footballing history; a time to be cherished by every Red. Even those of us with blue collars.

A therapist would probably write a dissertation out of this paragraph.

I'm still traumatised by that 'cuddling Rafa' post from way back.

But was he better than Bob Paisley? That is the question... :D

I know this isn't a RAWK moment but I think it's a sign of how far they have fallen that I literally pissed myself when I read in the Guardian today that Pep topped the FSG shortlist for managers. They haven't got a hope in hell.
