RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

Re: the re-appointment of Rafa.

Wonder what kind of responses he'll get?

Probably...

This season Liverpool finished with 52 points, what's in store for them?

Here are the teams that finished within 4 points of Liverpool's total this season over the last 2 years.

2010-11: Aston Villa 48 pts, Everton 54, Fulham 49
2009-10: Blackburn 50, Birmingham 50

More going down than not.

And West Ham had 51 points in 2008-9.

Our £35 million net spend under FSG suggests that the value of our squad has only improved by that amount. Granted, that statement isn't quantifiable, or necessarily accurate, but the point I'm trying to make remains the same

^^

I love statements like that. I guess Ferguson was an absolute miracle worker winning the title with a negative net-spend after flogging Ronaldo. Wenger too is a genius gaining top-4 year after year despite having negative net spends.

The fecking idiots.

Asif Abed on Twitter: "I would not mind Rafa Benitez back at LFC. Do NOT want AVB or Martinez. Need a proven Manager who can handle pressure."

James Barry on Twitter: "The fact that the media are completely blanking Rafa shows their fear of him reinstating Liverpool as a top team. Pathetic."

Not RAWK but just as bad.....mental.

Dear RAWK,

How do I say this on the internet with only words as my tools of expression? Please know I say this with the utmost of sincerity and am attempting to give thanks and credit where its due:

Just as I love SAF and Manchester United for providing me so much joy and entertainment over the years, so I'd like to thank the collective that is known as RAWK for their side splitting comedy gold that they too have provided. The laughs you have provided me over the past 5 years is almost of equal measure to the pleasure I have gotten from Manchester United.

Keep up the great work RAWK - I hope you remain inspired for years to come. The internet would certainly be a poorer place if you did not exist.

Your sincerely,

Sammsky1 from redcafe.net - a huge fan of RAWK.

Anyway, I've written an email to FSG expounding on the virtues of appointing Rafa.
Should be good now.

feck FSG, by sacking Kenny they undid all the good work NESV did by bringing him in. Bring back NESV!

Disgraceful decision. Disgracefully handled.

Disrespectful towards King Kenny. Disrespectful toward Liverpool Football Club.

There is a way of doing things at our club. Kenny knew the Liverpool Way and handled things as we have come to expect from the club. FSG could have learnt a lot from the King, but they have clearly chosen a different route, a route which goes against everything the club stands for, and they therefore do not deserve to own a club such as ours.

They have shown lack of respect shown towards the club, the supporters and King Kenny with this decision and, this means that in my eyes they are no longer welcome at Liverpool Football Club. They can pretend to know the club all they like, the true side of FSG was shown yesterday
:wenger::wenger::lol:

It's an in-bred subservience. It's how the rich and powerful keep the masses in-check and tugging their forelocks.

Either that or some of them still get tucked up by their mummys at night and read bedtime stories.
:confused::confused:

Anyone and i repeat anyone who thinks that FSG bought us to Save us is F*CKING deluded , they are here to make money end of , they dont care about the Liverpool way etc , they have just sacked Kenny and that tells its own story . Answer these , does Kenny love Liverpool FC more than JH ? does JH love money more than Kenny and Liverpool FC ? Its an easy way to put it and its true .
:eek::eek:

What do they know about the club? They have only been a fan for a year and a half. Has someone even explained the offside rule to them?
:nervous::nervous:

Someone said this morning that the reason for Dalgleish's popularity is that all the scouse fans can relate to him on a personal level - they think that he's 'one of them'..... Then he unkindly added that he's even more like them now he's unemployed....

132 - Liverpool allowed the opposition fewer shots on target against them than any other team in the 2011-12 Premier League. Solid.

An alternative view would be that 30% of opposition shots on target resulted in a goal which is a high percentage I believe.

Also, that stat did not lead the league.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/may/15/season-in-statistics-premier-league

If Villa were harmless, then Liverpool were hapless. They struck the frame of the goal 33 times this season, the most ever recorded by one club in a season since Opta records began (Fulham were second this season with 24). Kenny Dalglish's men also hit more shots off target than any other team, missed more penalties than any other team (five) and misplaced more passes than anyone but Norwich City and Bolton. Chelsea (2816) misplaced the fewest. Stewart Downing, meanwhile, was the master of misplaced shots, firing off 72 this season without scoring. Even Liverpool's diving failed to hit the mark, as they were given more cards this season for simulation (four) than any other team.

There is a stat doing the rounds on Twitter that Liverpool allowed opponents to have fewer shots this season than any other team. Not true. Manchester City and Arsenal were the most frugal on that front.

i like this post. meaning, i think its reasonable and understandable. once in a while, the rationale Liverpool fans to rise above the bile

Kenny was,and always will be a true legend of LFC. Not a legend like fowler, rushie, toshack etc but in a totally different league. A man who understands us a club, the old values, the Liverpool way. After all he has done for this club he deserved more time to get things right, and for some suit in the states to say otherwise is just downright disrespectful to the man, and the club in general. It shows they dont get us - they just cant get it.

Perhaps its a cultural thing, perhaps its just business but for me its a passion,a love,a lifestyle. I dont support LFC with my head-I support them with my heart and I now feel like Im in the minority and perhaps Im beginning to feel pushed out by the modern fans who want instant success no matter what the cost.

The days of LFC setting the benchmark,of setting the standard are long gone. In reality they probably ended years ago,and its taken me til now to realise. Perhaps it was during Rafas reign,I really dont know. I just know that now I dont recognise the club in the way I used to,I dont feel a part of it like I used to.

The standards we set have all but gone and I fear that we have become another mid table side. Looking in the other thread at some of the names being banded round for next manager makes me fear for the future. I will be very very surprised if we are not having the same type of threads within two years, looking for our next quick fix and looking for our fifth manager within four years.

The difference will be that no matter who the new man is I wont feel the same. I wont love the new manager in the way I loved Kenny, regardless of who it is.I wont have the belief in him,and I wont belive that he gets us,not like Kenny does. We could get mancini in,spend 300m and buy the title, and the fact of the matter is for me I would rather finish 8th with Kenny than become some soulless club like City.

For me its a sad sad day,its probably not the beginning of the end(that happened years ago),its just the day I woke up and realised it

Because the Kopites were so in love with Kenny and the trumpeted 'Liverpool Way', if the next manager is not Benitez, he will get spat out just as Hodgson did.

On Martinez:

Not being overly dramatic or anything, but I'll actually kill myself if he's appointed.

On Martinez being interviewed:

feck. My. Life.

Give. Me. The. Rope.

Are we really considering Roberto fecking Martinez over Kenny Dalglish? Seriously? Disgraceful.

I prefer my Martinez on the rocks and at some other club.

I think i'm gonna dig a hole and put my head in it until we get a new manager. Can't take this.

Well fecking done fsg. Take a fecking bow.

There's a certain man sat at home by the phone on the Wirral who is waiting!

Rafa and AVB may have been approached too. They may have been approached before Martinez but we've heard about Martinez first because Dave pie eating Whelan can't keep his gob shut.

If they don't at least interview Rafa they are fecking clueless.

This whole love affair for Rafa, a man that never got them remotely in a real title winning position... is it all due to that 2005 malarkey? Had they not won the Cup that year would be held in such regard?

It's because he's the only one who stood up to the corrupt FA and the bought refs. It's not his fault he didn't succeed, he fought to the death against a corrupt league

You just know that Liverpool will somehow feck up during the course of the season and RAWK will melt down, as it always does.

They're in the first stage of delusion over there at the minute i.e. in thinking that players like Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing are going to deliver lots of silverware.

Stage Two is imminent (the beginning of the season).

Stage Three (meltdown) usually happens just after Xmas. That's when they'll bang on about "next" season again. But who will they blame this time? They haven't got Hodsgon or the owners to blame anymore.

The weather? Food price inflation?

SAF, SKY, referees, the FA, Ronaldo diving, Gillette and Hicks, Hodgson, Michael Owen, UEFA, FIFA, Abramovich, Mourinho, John O'Shea, not being in Europe, net spend, Torres, no back pass rule, size of the nets, League cup midweek distractions and Gary Neville.

Plan M was spot on with his early assessment of the Liverpool campaign.

INT: "Mr. Ferguson. Thank you for letting us talk to you on this new season"

AF: "You are very welcome. Would you like a biscuit? Perhaps a snort of Whiskey"

INT: "No. I am fine thankyou. What do you think of the breaking news?"

AF "Breaking news? What breaking news"

INT: "Er.. Haven't you heard? FSG have appointed Rafa Benitez back into the Liverpool job...."

Ok, so you understand and think it reasonable that a manager that does better than KK cannot be respected because when KK was sacked, a part of the fans died?

Not reasonable, not rational, not understandable and certainly not above the bile.

He was sacked because he is shite. End of.

Fsg have already gone back and appointed a previous LFC mgr and a mop favourite. I just can't see them going down that route again. It wouldn't make sense for them no matter how right raga is for the job and for the 'now'

Can't argue with that. No more mop favourites - bring back Raga!

I really wish Davo still posted here. Who was the poster with the tagline 'caf cnut'...he was always good for a laugh too.

All I think is we wasted half a year with Hodgson do we really want to support him and waste another season. I'd much rather just give him shit in preseason and get him gone before the season.

Has any manager ever been sacked before playing a competitive game?

Liverpool finish 37 points behind Manchester City

Wigan finish 9 points behind Liverpool

Who is the higher achiever?

:D

I genuinely can't get over how deluded they are, I really can't.
