RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

Adam - Fair enough
Enrique and Carroll - No, Barton, Tiote and Nolan were better.
Suarez - Fine
Downing - No.
Henderson - Christ no, Gyan, Welbeck and Bent were better.

I'd say Barton and Tiote were better, or have Enrique with them, rather than Carroll.

Gyan was certainly better.

It's also a shit point that doesn't mean anything.

Did I say anything like that?

I said last season he was one of the best 2 in the league, which can't really be argued, he just was.

And I asked if they are claiming to have the best LB in the league, not a player that a good last season. This is what they always claimed with Finnan, who did have a couple seasons that were better than Neville and would claim he's the best in the league. We all knew Neville's class was permanent.

Cole was voted to the team of the year btw, whether just or not.

It's a point though, at one point O'Shea was the best LB in the league, it doesn't mean you have that quality each season, or even the next one.

But, in general, whatever point he was trying to make was just wrong.

O'Shea was never the best LB in the league - United fans would ludicrously claim that. Cole was emerging as the best while at Arsenal. O'Shea had a great but very short run back in 2003 and most of us went nuts with claims and expectations. The following year he was well off the pace and never reached those lofty heights. Shame too - he had a lot of potential.

My point - fans have a tendency to overrate their own.

John O'Shea was the best LB in the league from 1999 onwards.

His best season was the 02-03, although he played in a multitude of positions, I thought he was outstanding that season as LB though, yes there were probably better, but it was an excellent season for him, especially in that position. Wasn't a short run either, but 32 league games, and 50+ for the season.

I don't recall O'Shea permanently breaking through until around 01-02, and he played CD a few times if memory serves. From 99-02 the main LBs where Irwin, Phil Neville and Silvestre (the latter played CD in 99-00). I seem to recall O'Shea filling in at CD early in 2002 and then later being shifted to LB in the second half, and he excelled that half. My memory may be off a bit.

I was kidding with the first commen, he's not been the best LB for the last decade.

I doubt it, it's certainly better than mind MM.

Is there any chance this could be left to laughing at RAWK rather than general football discussion?

doesn't really look like a meltdown, they've just said they should have finished chances in first half and they were poor in the second, you can pick a handful of quotes and post them here but you get similar dickhead posts in this forum after a loss, just beggin a meltdown these days, its getting quite sad and pathetic

Hernandez £7m, Carroll £35m. Hernandez>>>Carroll. Football=Funny game. :p

One thing is, they always find positives at everything.

LOL at the finger pointing to referees.

Besides, this is the year KK made his signing and stamp his authority, so next year IT"S ON! IT"S feckING ON!

Liverpool 1 v 1 Phil Dowd, The Linesmen and Sunderland

Phil Dowd bottled the Red card
Bottled giving Cattermole two bookings
and bottled giving that dirty orange c*nt Wes Brown a booking

Gave Agger a Yellow for nothing

The Linemen disallowed a perfect Carroll goal
and the other twat gave them Corners when it clearly came off a Sunderland Player

Kenny could have played: Kelly or Carra at Right back if Skrtel was/wasn't injured and player CB

DOWD kept them in the game well and was my man of the match

Couldn't be more fecked off right now if I tried. I want to smash the fecking world to bits.

Again fecking bull shit, I seriously hate football calm as anything when there's no football but as soon as football starts again, seething rage at the shite performance in the second half and the shit refering. Same old, same old, I cant believe we didn't put them away, Steve Bruce fecking c*nt.

Sums up most at RAWK in one post that - full of bitterness, hostility and anger at the rest of the world because of Liverpool's constant failings.

Probably the most labored run of the match for one, I don't even know if what he did could be called a run. Second, Adam is hardly the player you need when you're pressing for a goal at the end of the game. Piss poor touch, can't run, can't hustle.

I thought it was a good run at a time where most Liverpool players (Adam included) look tired and out of ideas. I'd have been encouraged by that if I was a Liverpool fan.

Ever the entertainers, time for the regular shift in the boom bust cycle of expectations.

I knew they'd blame the referee. They also missed out that he refrained from red carding Carragher for his horrible lunge as well.

Dowd was alright I thought. Carrol's 'goal' that was disallowed probably was a bit harsh, but they still had over an hour to cement the 3 points in the game and faded horribly. Shame :D

Has King Kenny won a match since signing his permanent contract?

Only watched the 2nd half. They were really shit. But Adam actually looked half OK. I think he is going to have a good season

The liverpool blame game has began in earnest.

Them lot are easily some of the most bitter fans in the world.

They were actually alright first half, but without creating many chances. I can only think of the penalty, the goal and Downing hitting the bar.

Second half, they were absolute shite.

it was more a case of Sunderland being horrible in the first half, when they started playing better, Liverpool got dominated at times.

Oh RAWK...

The sad part is, we could probably just roll forward this thread from the previous seasons and well get the same pathetic bitterness and excuses.
