RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

I think people take this it wasn't deliberate and he didn't mean it a bit to far, I think it's very very rare that anyone actually means to handle the ball in the are I mean why would they? It's alwas been more a question if the incident is avoidable and if your arms are raised away from your body then it almost always is.

Unless you're John Terry and you're lunging to make a tackle, then you can use your arms all you like.

I think you're right, the refs seems to expect defenders to make an effort to move, though sometimes i think players get handballs for simply being unable to get out of the way by the time the ball gets there, and since they're moving it looks bad and is almost always a pen.

Why dont people understand?

Its not about touching or not. Intend is enough. And he clearly moves his head.

Its a rule.

Perch is a cnut though.

Agree with all that. I remember Sparky attempting to head butt David Burrows once( hardly surpringly ) and he went down like a sack of cement, I got so cross I almost went into premature labour.

This gif will sum up the feelings of every liverpool fan when they saw the second go in

And here's the United fans version:

As i have said previously in the thread, these senior players have had their day. I honestly believe that we will get nowhere wwith anyone until we have a clearout of most of the senior personnel.

I agree that it's not nice to see Kenny upset and he loves the club, but I'm also sick of people making excuses for him and some of his dreadful decisions. I think that some of the transfers made haven't as yet worked out, and I don't blame Kenny for that at all as on paper all looked like they could walk the walk. it's not about the players for me as why I have lost faith in Kenny. It's about his bizarre and occasionally disturbing team selections and substitutions. Don't for a second think that I don't know that Kenny has forgotten more than I'll ever know, and he would give his last breath for the club, but when he makes decisions that are so bad it makes you shout at the TV, and if you didn't know better you'd think he was TRYING to lose, then it gets hard to stomach. Why the persistence with players who aren't performing? Why benching players who are in form? Why taking off players who are contributing and look dynamic and leaving others on who are playing shit? Why making substitutions too late and bringing on the wrong players? Why using schoolboy formations and the inability to change them when things are clearly not working? Why giving mixed messages on how to retain your place? I defy anyone to not think of numerous times when the above have happened. I'm glad he defends the players and gives the press no attention. I enjoy his defence of players because who gives a feck about the Bastard press. BUT say someone has been your family doctor for years. They know you and they used to be great. They would fight for you if they could. But if they don't know the latest techniques and constantly misdiagnose you, would you keep going back for old times sake? Or would you get a new doctor?! I hope Kenny sees out the season but I would not be confident or happy to see him as manager next year. I'm very happy to be proven wrong or to have someone disagree, but feck anyone who thinks I'm not entitled to my opinion.

Shelvey played instead of 20 million Henderson? Oh dear...

They should be in meltdown.

I hope they un-ban Scholesy so that he can come back and tell them that Delfounso is the answer to all their problems

These problems were very evident at the end of 2011. The decision not to improve the club in January was disastrous. Don't know whether the owners wouldnt put up any money, or if Kenny felt the team didnt need any new players, but someone f'ed that up.

It's one thing to buy players who don't live up to their price tag. At least that signals ambition. Not doing anything in January was criminal.

Yes, the whole problem is a lack of investment, great spot.

That's the thing do. None of the bunch of shithouses give a feck. The displays they put on are fecking shite and they've done it for quite a few games now. If there was one person who knows what LFC is all about, it's Kenny. Which is why I'm disappointed. He should fecking rage on each of the twats who can't be arsed putting in a shift. I'm sure it hurts Kenny as much as it hurts us, possibly more. Which just makes me more angry and pissed off at the state of affairs.

I don't want Kenny out: never have, never will. But people need to realise that we're up a shit creek right now, and it's down to both the players and the backroom staff.

Indeed and I wonder why footballers are incapable of controlling themselves better in these situations.

I mean they know if they are only getting close with their head to the other player chances are he will take advantage of the situation.

I don't like when players act like they have been shot at the slightest touch but I also can't help thinking how stupid the player was for doing the headbutt motion in the first place.

Kenny walking off when the interviewer still has questions. What a knob.

Kenny walking off when the interviewer still has questions. What a knob.

Well atleast he hasn't resorted to holding press conferences at his local pub yet unlike his Celtic days

http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/Bairds+Bar+Press+Conference+-+24/3/00

Following what was perceived as a strong anti-Celtic agenda, inaccurate reporting and a variety of attacks on Kenny Dalglish since the sacking of John Barnes in February 2000, Kenny Dalglish decided to hold the usual pre-match Press Conference not at Celtic Park, but at Bairds Bar in the Gallowgate. Dalglish's reason for this was so that the Celtic support could hear what was actually said during these Press conferences and not have to rely on the lies and twists that the Press had been proceeding to print week after week.

It didn't exactly go down well with the Fourth Estate.

Below are printed some of the juicier and more affronted comments written about the Press Conference.

Anyone know where there's a vid of the Kenny interview?

I was quite surprised at the time that no one made more of his wandering onto the pitch either. What on earth was he thinking?!

The one I always remember is Nicky Butt against Barcelona. He got two red cards in a row, and the one against Barcelona was a handball on the line.

I'm struggling to remember who the other was against, but I'm sure I remember it being a big game too.

Arsenal at Highbury, I think.

Kenny walking off when the interviewer still has questions. What a knob.

I'd defend kenny there actually, he actually just seemed very downcast about the game, so if he did walk off it wasn't "being a knob", probably just was way too dissapointed.

I actually felt sorry for him watching that interview - he just seems to have lost all his confidence and swagger he had when he first came back

I would've some sympathy for them had they not basically labelled Evra as a liar on their website after that Suarez incident.

Yep he can figuratively go hang himself for all I care.

Exactly. Its one thing to have a segment of idiotic fans, its another for an internationally respected organization to publicly and unconditionally endorse those views. Short of significant physical harm or emotional trauma there's very little I wouldn't wish on Dalglish after that debacle.

It is my opinion that we should never hire a clown [referring to Mourinho] for such a dignified job. Being the Manager of Liverpool Football Club is not only about winning. It is also about dignity, integrity and loyalty.

Dignity and integrity. If anything describes Dalglish's latest stint in the job, it's that.

 As if Mourinho would even think of going there.

Listening to some of the scousers calling up talksport after the game really cheered up my Sunday. You'd think Rafa didn't spend any money putting his squad together the way some of them were going on. One of them suggested Carroll will start banging them in once he gets some service, deary me.

Speaking of deluded bindippers, has NobJockeyred been on here since the Klan's draw at wembley with the second best team in Wales? Starting to get worried about him now.

what?

no. the Suarez incident only confirmed what they are. Heck you had some of em on ere defending him.

I was not shocked they defended him. Thats their mentallity. Victims. Its always someone else fault.

nah.. feck em.

actually none of them has been on here.

put them on mass suicide watch I say.

It reminds me of that story from WW2 about the two Jewish assassins sent to kill Hitler at an airfield he was due to land at. After a few hours of waiting in the bushes one goes to the other "he should have landed by now, I hope nothing's happened to him"
