I guess Evra now has a chance to apologise to Suarez for being racially abused.

Why would they not? Suarez may be a moron but he's a superb player. In the Copa America last year he outshone everyone including Alexis and Messi. His qualities as a person don't detract from the fact he's a quality footballer...

...there's also the fact that in Spain monkey chanting and racial abuse are widespread and accepted as Guy Poyet reminded us when this stuff kicked off. Indeed, look how hard both Barca and Madrid tried to distance themselves from Marcelo when he claimed Busquets had called him a monkey. Suarez would feel right at home. :p

Pardon my ignorance but I've heard this "it's like Orwell's 1948" thing a few times on here recently. The book is called 1984 though so why is everyone saying 1948?
 
It's interesting that some of them have accepted Suarez shouldn't have gone against Kenny's orders while at the same time saying Suarez shouldn't have had to shake Evra's hand. I don't think they realise that means they disagree with Kenny, they're not allowed to do that on RAWK are they?

Someone on rawk made a big serious post on there where one of the lines was comparing the situation to "something out of 1948". I'm sure someone will be able to find the post itself.

They can't suddenly backtrack from their fervent defence of Suarez without looking like absolute dicks so they'll turn on anyone who events hints at taking responsibility, even their own club. If Dalglish apologised they'd turn on him as well.

I thought it was some kind of joke I've missed. Especially as someone wrote it like "Orwell's 1948", sort of to emphasize that he knew the year was wrong.

Edit: Ah, posts before this clears it up. Should've known RAWK was behind it.
 
It's best to break bad news gently. If Kenny apologises as well that place is going to have a complete aneurysm.

I love that those stills are still getting brought up, despite the fact the video shows Suarez fly past Evra at a rate of knots.

I was wondering that myself. Above the apology from Suarez admitting he purposely didn't shake Evra's hand?
