Ravel Morrison (Only football related)

think 'A Tameside council spokesman' is disappointed they didn't print his name...

Do you know what I'm starting to find annoying?

People that continually tweet him telling him to be good, I know their intentions are good and it may give him an indication of how many people are rooting for him but he will inevitably get to the point where he gets pissed off.

People that don't know him or the intricacies of the cases he's faced tweeting him and telling him about how bad he has supposedly been etc

He tweeted his pal this morning and straight away a fella tweeted him, enjoy your holiday but behave. I was thinking Jesus H, let him breath!

thinking the exact same - people are being really patronising, whether they mean to or not.

I can see him eventually telling someone to feck off - and then it will all kick off.

He needs to either get off twitter or make his account private so that it is only visible to those he actually knows.

Dear family of stupid girl: He threw a fecking phone out the window. Get over it.

I think you've misread the article. I'm pretty sure it is referring to the family of the person in the intimidation case

Ah, in that case, we need to go around knee-capping them to keep them quiet. ;)

Also, apologies for skimming the article.

I don't know why any high-profile person would voluntarily put themself in a position where every muppet in the country can start hating on them or patronising them in a public forum. How can it possibly end well?

When you see the performances of Mancienne and Henderson tonight, it makes you question why Morrison's not in the U21 fold yet. I suppose he's not had the experience that other players have, but there's no chance he would've been any worse than either tonight.

Unquestionably good enough, just hasn't had the senior experience yet and he's tended to be away from the England setup in general since his off field troubles. But yes, his immense quality on the ball and creativity would have been very welcome.

Him going on Twitter was always going to be a bomb waiting to explode but it works both ways he is volatile but people need to stop treating him like a mug. I can understand oppo fans trying to have a go but our own need to realise what they are doing too.

This being "our own" who hounded Darron Gibson off Twitter?

Never underestimate the stupidity of people in large groups.

Precisely my gripe with this twitter bollocks. People like to think they're adored, and then get all defensive when every cnut and his dog is attacking them from every angle. Setting themselves up for a fall from the word go.

Him and hopefully a handful of others. I remember when we took Welbeck on tour years ago and he missed a pen. Got to love pre season games.

That was a random friendly match (someone's testimonial maybe) in midseason I think.

It was somewhere in the Middle East wasn't it?

Yeah. Sami Al-Jaber's testimonial. Mid-season.

I am right in saying Cleverley has scored in our previous two pre-seasons?

Actually, the previous 3. Kaizer Chiefs in 08, Valencia in 09 and MLS All-Stars last summer.

Good news about Ravel's possible tour inclusion. Any other youth cup champs rumored to be going?

Maybe he can take a tour to Southside Chicago and see what being a tough guy really means instead of that pussy Moss Side playground. Might straighten him up.

37 minutes shy of a day's activity in this thread without any of that speculative nonsense being brought up. So close, yet so far away.

Be good for the lad to go on the tour and get a taste of how the big boys cope with different climates, different cultures and different media attention.

This bit is worth highlighting.

District Judge Finestein told him that the fine was a mistake and would be quashed – and he could have his money back. But the footballer refused to accept the cash and instead asked for it to be donated to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Daniel Taylor who has been reporting this case

fyi Morrison was praised in court for vastly improved conduct/maturity etc (via reports from the youth offending team)

Good news, hoping the penny has dropped then. I assume he's in line to play a couple of games next season in cup games now if his attitude continues to improve
