I think we must be talking about different people/posts because the person I'm talking about was spot on.
So, who are you talking about - it would clear this up....

Most definitely.
He's only just 18 yrs old and a lot has gone on in his life. From a footballing pov there's a huge potential in this lad and he needs the correct environment for it to delevop fully. He has a good environment within United but unfortunately he doesn't seem to have one outside of the club.
If they could improve his outside environment we would have one hell of a player here.
I took the girlfriend aspect of it as a positive, somehow.
KingEric7 - seeing the positives in domestic violence since 2006.
Seriously though, I see it as quite the opposite. Physicalyl getting him away from street-gangs is one thing, and an achievable one at that.
But if the guy has general issues with anger and violence, which will manifest themselves in any environment, that's a much trickier issue to overcome.

So he destroyed a mobile phone and physically attacked his girlfriend. The first one is not a big deal IMO, the 2nd one is more serious and it sounds like he's a right prick. If he cant sort out his young life soon, cant see and appreciate the chance that he's got, United will let him fall no doubt
The point is he's been charged, reading the article that is.
If he's found guilty on the assault charge he'd better have a fecking good lawyer to keep him out of the nick
I think that's correct. But you wont be sent to prison just because you have been charged with assault, correct? It depends on the severety of the attack, so it could also be just a fine (I'm not British, so can only assume)

She gave him a 12-month referral order and said he'll have to serve time if he breaches it, but I'm not sure committing another crime constitutes a breach. A referral order's obligations seem to be about mediation, apologies and reparation. But I don't know anything about this, I just read up on it for five minutes now.Didn't the magistrate say that it was due to the club's intervention that saved him from a jail sentence but they won't be so lenient next time...
On a serious note, I'm almost flabbergasted that the club hasn't cut ties with him now. He's played since the latest incident and he must have been on thin ice after the last court case. I assume it would take him going to prison?

“The likes of Ryan Tunnicliffe and Ravel Morrison, you see some of them doing very, very well, so we’re always going to put an emphasis on young players coming through from the youth team. That will always be the case."
Not 100% sure how recent the interview was, but in a piece in today's Mirror, Ferguson named Morrison (and Tunicliffe) as stars of the future:
If that quote is recent (i.e. yesterday) then that might be a good sign regarding Morrison...
I'd love to see Brady make it.
