I can only hope our treatment of Rashford is to still him for the money needed to buy a proper forward and not have to play Hojlund.

Why we just can't sell Hojlund is likely the fact the only team stupid enough to pay good money for him was us
 
He's not it. That can be said for at least half of today's starting XI, but with the possible exception of a LWB, a striker is really what we need to improve on the most.

Højlund is a player that might look alright in a team that's working well. In a disjointed team where he has to make something happen himself, he is quite useless.

Sad state of affairs that him and Zirkzee are our options.

Forget his price tag just rate him on performances and he’d do well to get a loan at Leicester

There is zero chance he'll make it in the PL.

He isn't even as good as one-season wonders like Schick, Jovic, etc.

He tried whining at Eriksen who made it very clear he wasn't nowhere near where he needs to be to get a pass.

I told people he would be lucky to reach the heights of Benteke. It's embarrassing that he's our main striker, there's a reason Cophagen let him without any fuss
 
At the minute he’s only useful for if you’ve got teams pinned in and need a finisher from the bench, he has a similar play style to Hernandez ( who was a good option but never good enough to be our main CF) but he’s a not at that level yet. He’s also in a much less talented team.
 
He can score goals but his overall game is pathetic. Should be a 3rd choice off the bench poacher not the starting striker for Manchester United.

Is he any better than Strand Larson for Wolves? That's where we're at with our attack.
 
Hard to blame him anymore. He is just not remotely good enough to play in PL. Limited 21y old striker starting for Man Utd in toughest league in the world. What can go wrong?

If new Dof is smart, he will sell him next summer while "potential" aura is still around him. We can still get good money for him.
 
There are 4/5 norwegian strikers that are better than United's main striker. Absolute fecking joke.
 
Instead of moaning he should try to find space to receive the pass. Reaction he gave to Amad for not passing was laughable as himself was not in great position to receive the pass

Him and Zirkzee has to be the most incompetent strike force in the league

“We don’t play the ball to his feet”. Another myth when he is absolutely woeful in even holding on to the ball when played to his feet.

I don’t think I have ever seen such a horrible strike force for United in my lifetime.
 
I'm sorry but he gave these idiots plenty of chances to play him through in the first half today but they can't play him in. This club needs players for all positions and a striker as well.
 
He’s getting no service but he’s also not doing himself any favours. He fails to make the correct runs and he struggles to accelerate away from defenders. I like him as a player but I’m beginning to doubt he will be successful here.

Total insult to Hernandez. There is nothing similar in them. Hernandez was excellent at making the right runs and a great finisher.

Hojlund would have played once under Fergie and then never again

He threw his arms at Amad again….then within the next 2 minutes proceeded to lose the ball needlessly 3 times

I was really hopeful last season with Hojlund, but he really isn't it. Needs to be made available for anyone who might be interested in a striker who can't hold the ball up and is always in the wrong position.

The bit when Amad had the ball in midfield on the counter and Hojlund went hugging the Wolves defender was hilarious.
 
Im officially off the Rasmus train. He genuinely is a bottom half striker at the moment in terms of physicality and overall link up play. He consistently gets swallowed up.

You had 2 exactly same situations in this game.
Cross from the right. Larsen was on the ball and "scored" (was in offside). Hojlund was one step late.

Have to concur with this. Chicarito is a god amongst men compared to our current strike force. He’s as far beyond them as what we had during his time was beyond him. There’s levels to this.
 
Had at least 6 runs behind the defense line in the first 15 mins. 4 times no ball was played. The other 2 occasions the pass was inaccurate and again a wasteful run. You could see him growing frustrated

There’s a lot of misunderstanding up front, I don’t really understand why

Apart from that, at several crosses he almost seemed to pull his head in, didn’t look particularly great

Of course after Bruno’s little trick it was all over
