Hopefully he's sold in the summer. I don't get why some preach patience with Hojlund then turn their nose up at Zirkzee when they are a year apart in age.

Rasmus for parts of last season and this current campaign is the worst striker I've seen at United by some considerable distance. It's not that he's missing chances but he offers the team nothing in possession this is the issue. It's what makes him even more of a liability than Weghorst who at the very least, could drop into the midfield and play / contribute in the build up.

Not comparing him to Zirkzee, but it’s probably because Hojlund has shown that he can be very good if the team clicks. His lack of quality this season is obviously down to low confidence.

Not that I dispute the point you've made but I don't think he's very good that's a term we can use with someone like Isak or a player who has shown more proficiency.

Rasmus goal ratio paramount to games played is what's letting him down in his career. 9 / 32 for Atlanta and then 10 / 30 last season in the league which many use as a catalyst to project his supposed potential. The stats really do tell the picture of his career in the league considering he scored 60% of those goals last season in one month. So he's a player who's thriving off a spell of form, the same notion that has been used against Rashford for criticism even when he was playing well.

Unfortunately goals is the only thing we can use to assess Rasmus because he offers nothing. I would much rather have a more nuanced take but we are talking about a severely limited player who only gets anything off (momentarily) when inside the box. Considering that even the most attacking teams in world football don't spend most their time in that region but outfield, especially in this modern iteration of football these are worrying signs to say the least.

I look at Hojlund almost like one of those meme stocks in the market, lots of superficial bias but very little substance when assessing actual value. He's done relatively well in Europe against lower quality teams, it's far more forgiving of his level so he should be sold.

He looks absolutely abject out there. No pressing, no hold-up, no composure with the ball (wtf is he thinking with the backheels), no movement, no winning headers....nothing.

Completed 2 (TWO) passes all game. 0/2 dribbles, 1/5 duels won (an improvement!), 0 shots on target. Touched the ball 9 times lost it 5.

Doesn't even bring work-rate at this point.

An utterly worthless player.

Chido has finally put to bed this myth that its not Hojlunds fault, its his lack of service.

He is the Taibi of outfield players.

17 yo Chido looked more of a striker than United main striker. Just fcuking unbelievable.

But, services…!!

He doesn’t even perform the backheel technique correctly. He does a little jump, totally telegraphing the move the opposition.

Remember when every journalist said his value was 40 million anwe somehow paid 72? Even 40 million is too much for this waste of space.

He scored goals in his first season but if anyone wants to revisit his performance thread you will see the same concerns being raised. Outside of goals he offers nothing of value at this level, and when not scoring is effectively a hindrance to the team.

Obi is super raw, miles off being a starter level, but at least he was active and causing issues.

Should not start another game this season.

He is the only player that is consistently bad! How come a player couldn't manage to have a decent first half or second half in any game? He seems fun guy to be around with but I don't think we have to keep him here.

He’s been struggling since he arrived, it’s time to put him in the bin. We should put him in the reserves and give the young guys a chance.

I am waiting for this guy to turn things around. Still haven`t given up on him, but man o man is he useless at the moment.
We would not lose any threat if i replaced him.
What club will offer us good money for him in the summer..

Those statistics tells me exactly why he needs to be sold this summer. I know he’s Young and Will most probably improve. But midtable Serie A club is his ceiling for now.

Another thing that’s very worrying is he looks gassed after like 60minutes. Hes putting a significant amount of energy into these performances.

I feel bad because I don't ever have much positive to say about Hojlund but this really was nail in the coffin stuff.

Again, aside from a good run into the box for his chance in the first half he offered practically nothing. What made it worse was that he was outshone quite considerably by a 17 year old Obi when he came on.

He is playing like a training cone for the whole season and then whenever he has the ball he does a backheel. Hopeless.

If anything is a positive, Obi will score goals of he's given chances. That's his first extended period on the pitch for us and he did himself proud, could have even won it for us. I'd think Kone could have a similar impact and allow us to play Bruno further forward.

We've got nothing to lose playing youthful exuberance over the shit we've seen from our usual pack of useless fecks all season.

Heaven looks decent too, I'd happily rotate him and Yoro.

People saying this is down to a lack of confidence. Like, of course he’s going to have a lack of confidence, that’s what happens with strikers who score no goals. He’s failed to score in about 80% of his games in nearly two years, and in that 80%, in the vast majority he has also failed to even nearly score. Why the feck would such a striker play with confidence?

Said that in another thread, his stamina is another cause for concern.

4 passes in 60 minutes with just 2 reaching their intended target is tragic. Needs to be taken out of the first team for his own good.

Clear as day he’s miles off it

17 year old kid looked more dangerous when he came on than this guy has in the last 20 games

Needs binning he’s fecking rubbish and I’m sick of watching mediocre shite play at this club

Chased the ball down like a dog at Atalanta, and in his first few months here. Now we're seeing the Rashford jog.

It's just pathetic, really.
