I hope we don’t rush him.

Not anymore with O’Driscoll in full power since INEOS takeover. Head of Rehab was let go. I hope that is.Rushing players back from injury has been this clubs MO for something like the last 4 years now.
The first ever Dane to win the player of the month award as well, which I found kind of surprising. I would have thought Schmeichel or Eriksen in his Tottenham days might have bagged one.
Unfortunately, he was no Tim Flowers or Alex Manninger.

Shmeichel played in an era when it would be unthinkable for a Manchester United keeper to be busy enough to win a player of the month award. Never mind, God forbid, player of the season a la DDG.
A 20 minute compilation of his general play this season:
As a United fan, I can't recommend this channel enough. He was making some great videos on Diallo last season that helped keep up with his loan. A lot of those videos are gone now, but he does usually make United ones for both the first team and youth players.
As for the video, this is why I was hesitant to criticise him a while back like a lot of people. Sure, he wasn't scoring (outside of the CL), but his general play was impressive enough to see the potential with him. Not to forget the context in terms of how poor we've been at creating chances for him in general.
O'Driscoll's arrival doesn't have anything to do with INEOS because he was appointed after Steve McNally stepped down in January 2023 after 16 years to take up a performance support director's role with PGMOL. O'Driscoll was confirmed as the replacement from Arsenal but only joined us at a set date, and to fill the gap United had a interim in charge until O'Driscoll arrived called Jim Moxon. Not anymore with O’Driscoll in full power since INEOS takeover. If he starts against Liverpool. He scores
It wasn’t well timed that changearound.O'Driscoll's arrival doesn't have anything to do with INEOS because he was appointed after Steve McNally stepped down in January 2023 after 16 years to take up a performance support director's role with PGMOL. It was during that time between McNally stepping down to take up a role with PGMOL and O'Driscoll arriving that we seem to have had issues with injuries.
His form before injury yes but it could take him a few matches to find that form again. He is capable of giving them problems, think he takes that chance at Anfield in his current form
Like that he challenged Van Dijk fir most things, not giving him an easy ride. And the go he head at Garnacho at one point as well.
Yes, there is no coincidence we play like that when he’s back.Thought he played a big part in how well we played in the first 35 minutes.
You're right. That was actually McTominay with that crimal pass behind him in what looked as promising counter attack, when every other football player would've played it in front of him. Pass was so bad it went to one of their players.
