Ralf Rangnick | ex-interim manager | does anyone rate him?

Nobody actually believes he's an elite coach right? His CV tells you the story about his standing in football as a coach

Just need him to see out the season for us, and hopefully improve us of the pitch after that

The best we can hope for this season is a decent CL run (which might be over against athletico) and a top 4 place, which is also looking unlikely.

Ole to Rangnick is night and day it was never going to be a quick turnaround. If we genuinely want to change how we play and move in a new direction it’s going to be a long, painful process that will go well beyond this season.

You can't polish turd ralph, turd is meant to be flushed out.

I'd start with benching rashford.

Please take off Fred and put VDB, also replace Rashford with Sancho. We need to have somebody who can actually play those cute passes instead of kick and rush merchant.

I can just about understand the tenuous need for McFred to keep starting under multiple managers out of sheer desperation…. Just!… but playing Rashford on the right as well must surely be a long running practical joke they’re under strict contractual orders to keep going at this point.

Of course the managers we hire all need 6-12 months to get going unlike other managers.

Was expecting us to have come out of the blocks flying for this game - we’ve been dog shit for 50 minutes, and as far as I’m concerned even if we win the signs are not good so far.

Not blaming the manager entirely, our squad is overrated and has huge mentality issues, but you’d expect we’d have seen some glimmers of progress against teams as bad as Newcastle and Norwich but it’s been fecking wank both games considering we were told for years that it’s our coaching which was amateur level.

Is there a reason we have like 3 of 4 players who stay on offense but literally offer no movement?
There's no link up between the midfield - forward line because the players aren't moving except for occasional behind the line runs.

seriously, I notice it every game. Our midfield passes side to side, and our forwards stand there waiting.. nothing can happen if no one is moving, which will cause defenders to move and open space

Also it doesn’t feel like he’s done anything truly brave or interesting with the way we’re lining up yet - the same undroppable names as always.

We gave up on the season when we didn't sack Ole after Liverpool, then watched Conte go to Spurs. We'll be playing Europa next season

I don't know what Ralf is implementing in training but it ain't working so far. The formation needs to change for a fecking start, absolutely broken and doesn't suit the players.

How many managers will we need to sack before people realise it’s the players? I reckon another three should do it.

I'm sorry but we're still as shit as ever. I wouldn't have problem being patient if there're signs of improvement, but this is just more of the same.

Howe completely destroyed him today.

It’s only 3 games but I’m starting to suspect this guy isn’t the footballing rain-man he is purported to be.

16 days since the last game and about a month since taking over, I don't care how interrupted things were with covid, that was shameful and it just has to be better than that.

We have won 4 points from Norwich and Newcastle thanks to De Gea and no one else.

Cop yourselves on. We all know the state of the team he took on. He’s been here 2 minutes and had a COVID outbreak in between. Did you honestly expect him to flick a switch and for the team to miraculously start performing?

Same players poor every game but don’t get dropped McFred shite (as a pair) for 18 months, Rashford completely off it, Maguire shite yet they’ll all start next game

Nah but we expected some signs of change.
