Absolute truth, when the club bottled the decision then that was it for the season and you get the sense that this CL campaign could be our last for a long time if Newcastle survive. We allowed Spurs to get the best manager around and they could overtake us this season then in a couple of years Newcastle will be claiming the last CL spot. All for what? Murtough said it was out of respect to Ole but was it really worth sacrificing the whole season over?We gave up on the season when we didn't sack Ole after Liverpool, then watched Conte go to Spurs. We'll be playing Europa next season
Ralf talks a good game but a magician he is not, one would suspect that the interim nature of his role has made it difficult for him to attract the best coaches he has worked with and he is scrapping the bottom of the barrel with his appointments. It's a mess all round because you don't bring in a guy with an alien style of play mid-season and in an interim role.
