Our full backs are supposed to provide width but for some reason we've stopped passing to them since the palace game. Instead fred and mct are trying to pass it through the middle and failing more often than not.
Something something 10 second rule. They've been asked to go forward quick and counter press when it doesn't work. They need to calm down a bit and get a spell of possession, too open right now.

Yeah that's the biggest problem for me too. So many loose touches and overweight / misplaced passes. Basic stuff let alone other higher level stuff like movement, positioning etc.

Midfield was non-existent. Movement up front was non-existent. Norwich & Newcastle have both out played us. These players are not suited to this formation. It’s not working & we need to move away from it.

Bruno is worthless in this formation. Either play him as a number 10 (or maybe as one of the two strikers) or don't play him at all
The squad has taken "get the ball forward quickly" "be progressive" as "panic!". Throwing away control of the ball so easily that it makes it impossible to sustain attacks. A massive work in progressive.

Hasn’t the league shown in the last 5 years 4-3-3 is the way forward? Other than a WC holding midfielder, we have the players for that system. Has any other team in the PL been successful with 4-2-2-2?
Can’t see how this formation is going to work for us, we’ll just be playing players out of positions all over again. In the 3 games so far we have been shocking in attack against the worst teams the PL has seen. They shouldn’t need months of training to be able to play simple passes and make chances against fecking Norwich and Newcastle.

Mctominay was probably our best outfield player. Funny you mention these players but ignore the others.
why? Look at our squad. Lots of talent, lots of good players. We need a DM and possibly reinforcements at the back. This shouldn't take another 8 years

Yeah, doesn't work. I can see why it's rarely used and why it should not be used with us. It doesn't benefit the players we have, Bruno looks lost, zero width and you have 3 or 4 players standing right next to each other so often. He needs to adapt to what he has available and show us he can coach more than one way.
