Did he just say that he was flattered to be linked with Arsenal?

Christ..I think he's off.

"You want to be working with world class players day in day out"
"Hopefully I can reach where I want to go"
"Assess where I am at the the end of the season and see where I am to achieve my goals"

The lad is off sooner or later, banging on about dreams, hopes, ambitions, goals etc. a lot. Reckon he might just stay for another season though.

I wouldn't be surprised is hes already done a deal with someone.

City perhaps, or possibly even Madrid, if the shine is really fading on Bale already.

Will be quite amazing if Liverpool's best young player leaves them for another premier league rival

No way is he good enough for Madrid. People need to stop saying that. There isn't even an open position for him there anyways. Barca likewise.

Little prick needs to sign a new contract and prove himself next season to earn a big move. He hasn't really took Europe by storm this time around.
I hate Liverpool with every cell in my body but this tool is just like every other young man who gets his head turned by greedy agents.
If he thinks he is as good as his mouth makes out and deserves to be playing with the worlds best, then he should sign a new contract and get the dippers a large sum when the big boys come knocking.

Even without Bale, he wouldn's start for Madrid. Ronaldo, Isco, Rodriguez and Benzema are much better than him.

Sounds like he's ready to leave. Offer £40 million and £2 for him.

Really don't see the problem with him holding off talks until the summer. If he wants to win trophies, and he's got the likes of City, Bayern and Chelsea sniffing around then what has he got to gain by signing a new contract wih Liverpool right now? He's 20 years old, the next stage of his career is massive. He will in all likelihood win a hell of a lot more if he moves than if he stays.

He's done nothing to suggest he's worth what he thinks he is. Hope the greedy shit never wins anything. Probably best he stays where he is then.

I can see him signing eventually. He's not ready for a big money move yet and moving to the likes of Arsenal would be a pretty pointless move as it hardly guarantees trophies. Maybe in a few years he can earn his move to the likes of Real.

Kid has ambition. Fair play to him, why would he commit himself to a 5 year contract with a club that has virtually no chance of winning the league/CL anytime soon? He probably looks at Gerrard and doesn't want to make the same mistakes.

Quick to the RAWK meltdown thread
My first thought as well. Their North Korean staff don't allow any discussion about it that I can find.

Here's the youtube video for those who can't see the tweet.

It pretty much sums up he's leaving Liverpool in my opinion, he talk about glory and all Liverpool can give us is talk about past glories.

He's off to Man City. He'll get in their first team too and plus the fact he's English helps them in squad management.

Still holding hope he comes to United!

State of him :D

"Eeeeeeeee! A mouse!!! Help me! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

Personally, I don't want him here. Only Liverpool player I'd want is Coutinho, and even then by virtue of him being a Liverpool player I wouldn't want him. Any player who can directly cross the boundary between United and Liverpool isn't worth having around.

Why not?

Hopefully he goes abroad but I reckon it's more likely to be city.

He has no real connection to liverpool. Id be delighted if we got him. But I don't think we will.

My guess as well. He'll be their new right winger.

Loads of "he's off but I can't be arsed about it" comments. Why are they in denial? He's probably their second best player

What do you want Them to say? In their situation i would say the same, if a player didn't want to stay and Get the club back to the top.

I don't get the vitriol aimed at this kid from a lot of the British media/supporters over this.

The Liverpool of 2015 aren't much bigger or more attractive than Spurs, nobody was questioning Bale's judgement when he wanted out for Madrid.

Good luck to the lad, he actually seems to have more of a head on his shoulders than I assumed earlier in his career, and if he doesn't like playing for a club full of losers then why should he? All I see is a young English player with all the potential in the world, and genuine football ambition to go with it. About time.

I actually agree with one of those RAWK posters who says that it smells like Sterling has been tapped up via his agent by another club. City have probably been in his peoples' ear saying that they'll throw a bucket load of cash at him.

It's a divide that shouldn't be crossed. You play for one or the other, but not both. Anyone crossing that bridge clearly doesn't comprehend the meaning of the word loyalty.

Loyalty should never be combined with Football, it's a business.. we develop/buy players... use them for their skills and get rid of them. That's it!

So whats wrong with a player doing the same!

Not saying players can't be loyal.. I hope all of ours are, but at the end of the day means nothing.

But the offer is/was £110k p/w. If that's not enough, then I've no sympathy. He deserves more than 30k, that much in beyond doubt, but if he's only after more money than the £110k offered then he can take those wage demands to an oil club in exchange for a hefty transfer fee.

I suppose he feels aggrieved that he's been paid so little (in relative terms) up to now, and I can see why. The way to maximise his income at this point is to leave on a Webster at Xmas, take a £20 million signing on fee and £150,000 a year from City or Chelsea or us. I personally think he would get it too, given the typical cost of English players of that age and ability (Luke Shaw for example.)

Liverpool will be left with no choice but to sell him in the summer for whatever they can get, just to avoid humiliation.

For any number of reasons not likely to be the Webster Ruling. It won't happen.

I agree - Liverpool will cut their losses and sell him in the summer to stop it reaching that point. But Webster will be what forces their hand. Otherwise he still has two and a half years to run on his contract and they need do nothing.

A hidden Webster if you like.

Arsed if he wants to leave Liverpool. As long as we don't buy him he can go wherever he wants. He'd be perfect for Citeh. I think he's overhyped anyway and it would be a waste of money. Needs to prove himself before running his mouth off imho...
