Just heard the performance on 5 live, they started the climax of the song by leaving out the expletives and then Zach let rip and got about 5 fecks in before 5Live pulled the plug. You heard the female presenter's anguished voice pleading "Get rid of it"
She then told people to buy Joes single!

wasnt she listening to the song?You sound surprised. Obviously a huge portion of X-Factor contestants won't have heard of past masters. Their primary reason for entering the competition is stardom and fame. Music is secondary.

Point, missing, the
If posters are still missing the point after reading the above post then I can't for the life of me work out where or when the penny will drop.
Deep in the forgotten forest lived a race of small people who had a wonderful community. Every year they had a fun sports day meeting. There were no major prizes bar cheap medals. Sure everyone tried their best, but ultimately the best team won and everyone had a laugh.
Then one year along came a big giant with legs the size of tree trunks. He was followed by 8 million dwarfs that happened to have big sharp spears. The giant won every race, won up every medal, scoffed all the chocolate rice-crispy buns and ran back into the forest with his 8 million minions. He promised to be back.
This went on year after year, and the sports day was no longer fun for the little people of the forest.
Then one year Santa and his 500,000 elves heard about what was going on and decided to help out the little people. Sure chances were the giant would win up all the medals again this year, but at least he'd give the giant a run for his money. At least the giant would be made aware that he's not the only big shot in the forest. A little bit of pride and hope was instilled back into the little people of the forgotten forest as Santa took a few early leads against the ugly giant and his 8 million bark-faced dwarfs.
Meanwhile on the side lines a bunch of boil-faced Ogres stood with placards reading 'Down with this sort of thing.' They were friends of the tiny people but tended to be quite a pessimistic bunch. They were once as sweet and innocent as the little people, but their bad attitudes and wilful ways grew hairy pimples on their faces and over time they turned into full-blown Ogres. They watched on as Santa and the giant pitted against one another and weren't really sure who they were following so long as they were telling the tiny people that they were wrong for calling Santa's hotline.
Does this fairytale have a happy ending ? Not sure to be honest, but you can be certain Santa will be back next year with 900,000 elves.

Tom Morello is a brilliant man. I loved that piece. Really warmed my heart and I love that he's giving to youthmusic. So important.

It's not unheard of for the record label to spend a vast amount of money on the single. It's cheating really. They wait until the momentum dies down for the RATM track and then spend X amount of money to boost the X-Factor song over the line......which is why Cowell came out like the pompous cnut he is and admitted to already having drank a few glasses of Champagne. Well done you fecking twit. It's like taking joy in the fact you have a bigger water-gun than all the other kids.
Really the only way around avoiding this would be for every member of the group to buy the RATM song AGAIN literally hours before the deadline.

I just love how experimental Morello is. When i saw Rage live, for a part of the song he unplugged the cable and used the metal end to play with. Was sweet.

I too am fed up with all these X Factor singles getting to No.1! Plus right now I'm fed up with the sight of Alexandra Burke's face on the T.V, if there was a face I'd like to slap with a wet fish right now.....it would be hers!!!!
Not to mention how fake the show is, Alexandra Burke is the daughter of a former Soul II Soul singer and would already have music contacts. A guy from last years show toured with Cheryl Cole. Leon Jackson won because all the Sweaty Socks voted for him. Even a girl I know has just got into a girl band after an audition a few weeks back that are being put together solely to audition for X Factor next year. It is a big sham and I'm sick of it.

BEP and Rihanna are certainly talented are they not?
BEP used to make some decent tracks but they're pretty crap these days and Rihanna doesn't really stand out from other similar artists an any way. She's also horrific when singing live.

Yeah OK RATM may well be number 1 at Xmas , but really will it make any differance.After Xmas the same crap will be bought and downloaded.
That top 10 to be fair is really poor.
I never liked RATM when they first came out and now I think it is still rubbish , I may be in the minority here but none of the top 10 downloads are really that good and I include RATM ,If I had to choice one it would be Journey.

Personally I don't give a crap what happens after Christmas, it's not about changing the face of the pop charts forever, its a big 'feck off' to Simon Cowell and his belief that he owns the number 1 slot at Christmas and can hand it to whoever wins his 'talent' show.
Might as well, the rest of the music in the charts is bullshit anyway.
