It's clerar you're not the only bidder, you are unlikely to be able to pay the most money like we did with RvN. so what's is their incentive to agree on shite conditions like this?</strong><hr></blockquote>

LITMANEN! PLUS! CASH!

which bit of those 3 words don't you understand?

and just because you lot paid £19M for van nistelrooy doesn't mean you weren't the only bidders. nobody bid against you for rio and you still went top whack.

Yes, doesn't make the deal that much better..it all depends on the amount of cash you can cough up.
 . Add 2m to the sum for litmanen and you have it there.

You assume that they are prepared to take a loss just to get a legend back in the line-up. Think this is naive. Everything is about money these days and you don't give it away for the sake of one player.

Anyways, this all remains to be seen. I could bet my apartment on you not having a deal with AJax yet.

who in the world mentioned anything about a loss? and how do ajax take a loss on a player they paid nothing for?

you're delusional. . .go back and read this thread again, paying particular attention to the part about the signing of litmanen being an emotional pay-off to the fans to placate them for the loss of VDV.

a fair price will be paid for VDV, we just won't be ripped off like you lot. . .

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> . and how does this gain Ajax financially? You actually managed to say yourself why you aren't an attractive partner to do business with.

They might well comfort the fans with Litmanen, but that's not what is important and you don't make decisions based on if the fans are happy or not.

Making money is the important part, and one big part of Ajax survival is the selling of players.

and since you don't have a clue what we've offered them, how do you know it's not enough to sort them out?

you just don't get it, do you?

Think you´re quite shite at convincing me. I've put forward quite alot of arguments and from your answers it seems like you don't have a fecking idea if there is a deal or not. So think it's fair to assume that you're talking shite.

First you say you don't pay over the odds, then you do pay over the odds, then you say he joins in januri, then the next summer. We've like covered all possibilities here and it's fecking clear that you're guessing. Which is understandable, why would you know anything? Just wanted to clear it up so even you understand it.

go and read the thread again, dullard.

all your arguments have been moronic, and i have tried to make things as easy as possible for you.

guess we'll see eh? i'll remind you of your bizarre avoidance of the facts in this thread when he joins us.

i never said 'I' knew anything.

but i do know a man who does. . .

moronic? the argument have been common sense and based on basic business theory. You on the other hand have posted a huge amount of drivel of a deal you obviously know nothing about. And it has been based on nothing but naive thinking.

Softlad eh?, and the man in the know just sits down and talks of multi million deals that haven't been relased to the public or shareholders yet with you <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> .

nope.

not softlad.

Why do none of you scousers listen to what the ducth lads have said? You're not getting him plain and simple. I doubt whether we will either. Sources, men in the know, contracts, signing in Jan if healthy bla bla bla You're making it all up! It's hilarious.

Dans, I'm not saying I believe this or not, seen too many of this kind of story before.

But why the feck would they listen to the Dutchies?

Just because they are from the same country why does that mean they know feck all either?

I live in England, doesn't mean I know Becks plans does it?

All of it is no more than hearsay no matter who its from...

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> , find it amusing though when grown up men sit behind their screens and think people belive anything. This contract issue has probably come from one on their boards and it has been repeated so many times that in the end, people like Softlad and MOM, start beliving it.

Did you read what they had to say Nate? Perhaps you should before you make yourself look like a dick. Oops too late.

Yes I did, they basically said he wasn't going anywhere, and if he did it would most likely be Spain.

So again, I ask why should tat be believed anymore than anything else that has been said?

Why is Rafael (that's not dutch btw - it's, you guessed it, it's SPANISH) Van Der Vaart, more likely to go to Liverpool, than to Spain. Let's see, his mother is Spanish, he has said if and when he moves abroad, not for 3 or 4 years according to the good Spanish/Dutchman himself, he would prefer to move to Spain. This probably has something to do with the culture with which he is undoubtedly very familiar. Now, why would I place more stock in what he himself says than what softlad and mom say? I can't think why Nate, I really can't but if I try hard I'm sure I might come up with a reason.

feck - I nearly had it then. Bastard, it was on the tip of my tongue. Help me out here Nate, it's doing my head in.

Did I say you should take more notice of them? No.

I just said until he goes anywhere then theres no reason to believe anything at all, plenty of stuff gets said, I'm going here, I'm staying there etc, and plenty changes too.

I don't believe a word from anyones mouth until I see pen on paper.

WTF? I'm not interested in who you think I should listen to.

It's plainly obvious that they are more likely to have this right than softlad and mom.

I think you need to join their board too Nate. You might not be in on the wind up.

Why don't you go over and have a look?

why is it? they get the same journalists' reports as anyone else.

i've never stuck my neck out about a transfer before now, preferring to wait until i see the new player wearing the shirt at the press conference.

but having heard what i've heard on this one, and from whom i've heard it, i believe it.

guess we'll just have to wait and see now.

This is nothing more than a wet dream for a few on Koptalk and Tribalfootbal etc..</strong><hr></blockquote>

Impossible?

Now you're being silly..

How do you know how much he would cost and how much we could afford?

You read dutch newspapers and magazines and check out the footy programme on a Sunday do you? The Dutch are fairly good when it comes to reporting facts - mate don't judge all other national media by your own eh ;)

You can wait and see, I'll not be waiting and seeing though.

i take it you've heard of "the internet", dans?

not a story goes by these days without being translated and made available to the world.

can't see you blowing it all on one 'potentially' great player.

So speaks Liverpools Accountant...

Whatever happens, Ajax would be stupid to sell him anytime soon. Especially if they're looking to emulate their past success. They have a great-looking young squad and they should hold on to him for another 4 to 5 years and then sell him for an obscene price.

jesus, you're as bad as ahmed! read through the thread again and pay attention to what i've posted. not once have i mentioned getting my information from the public domain, nor am i about to say where it came from.

suffice to say that i've reason to believe what i heard because of where i heard it.

You could head over there though and be YAWN's Davo style opposing fan, and agree with AEBM and NWR...

i'd be surprised if you had that much..

how much his your new stadium gonna cost?

face it, when it comes to big transfers, liverpool aren't even in the picture..

small timers.

1. ajax are skint and need money, pronto.

2. there will be no more "obscene" prices in football ever again.

where've you been?

Lets see then..

I don't want anymore signings at the moment, apart from a left midfielder..there's not that many quality LM's out there, so it wouldn't surprise me if we had enquired about this Ajax boy..

I certainly think we could afford him
