Heh, heh, good old peter storey. If Anderson was British he'd be more hyped than Jack Wilshere, who plays about as often.

Wilshere has more potential than Anderson as a centre midfielder, british or not, that much is obvious.

The problem is it wasn't like that when Anderson first came there. He was hugely promising, yet pete couldn't admit it, even when seeing his boyfriend Fabregas being raped when we played them. It still hurts him i think.

Since then Anderson has been going downhill, which is a shame. Not all his fault, obviously, but I'm not sure if he's done his utmost best to reach his potential.

EDIT: And Wilshere is already better, don't know about potential.

I don't know what others think, I think he's the best young right back in Europe.

Can't think of anyone that's as good as him, Walkers good, but what has he done?

No way of you knowing whether he's the best young right back in Europe, unless you've watched tons of football from all over the continent.

I still of the opinion Fabio is actually better his run at the end of 10/11 he was brilliant, if he could just have that injury free season this year I think he will come back to us a superb footballer.

Thats not to say I don't think Rafael is a fantastic prospect if both can sort the injuries out I think Fabio on the left and Rafael on the right is the ideal situation.

If only someone would explain the concept of 'identical twin' to Fergie. We're wasting his brother, who's just as good.

His brother, Fabio, was argued to be better when they came to United. Might have been but for the injuries.

To be fair, it wouldn't have done any harm to give Fabio a-few more chances last season, as Evra looked drained at times.

Even drained, Evra's still our best full-back. Rafael has been fortunate that nobody made the right back position their own since Nev retired and he's been able to get the games needed to develop his game. The combination of injuries and Evra means Fabio fell behind. Here's hoping QPR is the making of him.

I had the pleasure of watching the Brazil game last night (corporate tickets!), Rafael looked pretty good, was well chuffed when he scored. Otherwise he played quite defensively for the most part I thought, kept things simple and just played the ball through to Neymar and Oscar (who looked good).

For me, he should be our starting RB when fit, simple as. Smalling is a CB and that's where we should be trying to play him, as for Jones, he is becoming a bit of a JOS

On the Fabio topic I agree he should have played more last season. Evra was a liability at times and it would have done no harm to give Fabio more game time, which is what he clearly needs.

I completely agree - Evra is definitely our best full-back.

Fabio has been unlucky with injuries, however, I do feel that he could/should have got more of a chance last season.

Anyway, hopefully the loan to QPR, will be the making of him. Cracking prospect.

As many including me has pointed out before, he will be our number one right back, when we stop messing with that position.

Been very good over the 2 games. Perhaps could have done better for the Belarus goal today, but the defensive midfielders switched off and let him run free into the box.

As usual he looked really good going forward yesterday. But he switched off big time for the Belarus goal.

Yes the CBs should have done better. Yes the DMs should have done better. But there was only 1 person on the pitch who saw that player coming into the box completely unmarked and it was Rafael. He should have picked him up.

He looks tired today, which is understandable, as he's playing every single minute this tournament, I think.

He's had a good tournament though, bar this goal.

Aye he's looked good on the whole....... going forward.

Isn't this the problem for Rafael? He's liable to do something sloppy every 2-3 games.

We can't have it all though. We can't demand a swashbuckling fullback who's superb going forward and also demand a stalwart at the back. He's coming along nicely and as he matures his concentration will improve.

Concentration is his main problem - in time - that should improve. Hopefully.

Maybe he'll learn one day. But how many more league and CL campaigns will he screw up for United before that happens.
