Pre-injury would be Falcao. Depends how he has recovered though.

He more than just Chicharito with better finishing and movement. His technique is miles better and he is very useful in the build-up too.

His build up play there was a bit of a rarity tbh. Never really seen him offering much in most of his Atletico games.

What the feck?! Can someone please explain this to me? I just awoke to this news at 8:30 am in nyc.

This time last year we had the possibility of signing Fellaini, now we are on the verge of signing falcao. Decent.

Wanted to post the screamer he scored against Coventry with his right foot, in the interest of balance, but can't find a video/gif of it anywhere. Can anyone help a brother out? It was in 1997. Right footed curler from outside the box. Delicious goal.

Remember that, probably because it was so rare to see Giggs scoring such goals with his right. Obviously a fluke.

They aso say, we were only made aware of his availability in the last 48 hours.

What a signing!!!!

Im at work, feel ill, feel like crap and this has cheered me up no end, all ive heard from workmates is "you dont need a striker", "waste of money", "signing falcao instead of a defender, lol"

Its brilliant!! I can almost taste the bitterness of it all

This is just bizarre. Was laughing yesterday when the media linked us to Falcao, now we are signing him. Laughing hysterically now at the thought of signing Vidal....

Never ever thought we would be signing such a player, but the last couple of years have proved to be very different for us in the transfer market. Mata, Di Maria, RVP and now Falcao. Can't believe we have them.

I can't say I'm mad about this deal. If Van Persie is injured and requires surgery, then this deal makes total sense. Especially considering the fact Chicharito is on loan to Madrid, leaving Rooney, Welbeck and Wilson left as recognized strikers which isn't good enough for a club of Man Uniteds calibre and recent injury record.

I feel the same. Yesterday night when the rumors started cropping up out of nowhere I was thinking to myself, no way we are going to sign him... and here we are now.

Weirdest transfer ever?

Yup. He's not the best in build up play but his other qualities make up for it. He is (was?) the deadliest striker in the box in world football.

Falcao at his peak > Costa, but at this moment in time.. questionable.

Can't believe that out of all seasons we have managed to sign absolute quality in a season when we are not even in the Europa League!

Oh and he will need a work permit, right?

I can't remember a transfer window where I've had to slowly list the players that we've signed off using my fingers to count.
