Never thought we'd actually fill numbers 5,7 and 9 a week ago. Mental.

The thing that really doesn't make sense is that LVG was moaning at the lack of balance in the squad with too many #10's and strikers, so why go and sign Falcao a few weeks later?
No pace up front. Our front four have become stale they need shaking up a bit.

Don't get the logic at all and makes the Cavani rumours earlier seem like they were plausible.

You can't really complain about signing a genuine top player but it does seem bizzare and just not what's needed- I think fitting in RVP and Rooney is already a problem. No idea how they'll play either given LVG thinks that he'd have to drop one of Rooney/RVP to play a 433 already. Can only think he's going to keep with the 352 and put Rooney in Mata's position.

All the Youtube vids with "Welcome To Real Madrid/Liverpool/Manchester City" comments from various times in the past few weeks

We're signing a player who was turned out by Villa when he was in his prime, are we absolutely batshit mental?

Porto:
87 apps/72 goals

Athletico Madrid:
91 apps/70 goals

Monaco:
22 apps/13 goals

£6m loan deal. Yes please.

Don't be silly, you know we're signing him to play DM. Defensive mid, that is, not David Moyes.
For a right-footed player he is really good with his left. That chip goal #13, imagine Giggs doing that with his right foot :)
It's impressive. Some of those goals scored with his 'weaker' almost make it an insult to call it a 'weaker' foot.

Maybe Rooney's the new Kuyt.

How quick is he? Is he explosive enough to add some pace to a much needed attack line-up? He certainly has the movement that our static forwards don't seem to know how to use, but what of the rest?
