Radamel Falcao | Ducker: Medical passed!

One thing thats always held Hernandez back is that he can't dribble. For some reason the ball gets a bit stuck under his feet and he's always best off finding a pass.

Falcao can run with the ball for sure and open up chances to shoot

Nobody nervous about the agents supposedly saying it really is a permanent transfer just with staggered fees?

Indeed. Spunking £50 odd million on him while still neglecting the midfield/defence would be batshit mental.

"Jorge Mendes [Falcao's agent]: "It is a permanent deal but due to the fair play rules the first year must be a loan."

This can't be correct?

from the telegraph.

This has been discussed already.

So, this is what it feels like to be a Stoke City supporter on a deadline day huh?

I was always under the impression that he's quite average paced. Chicharito is rapid.

True, Chicha is quite rapid indeed. Falcao though is I'd say above average but by no means rapid.

For rapid, let's promote young James Wilson. Beautifully well rounded player and is pretty rapid in his own right. That boy will be learning from three of the greatest strikers in the world! Imagine hoe much he can learn from them?!

@Code-CX Do your work! The Dark Knight gif was class by the way.

How good is he compared to when we signed Berbatov in 2008? Not seen him much the last year.

I just woke up and see we're signing Falcao!? What the feck :lol::lol:

Guess it kind of makes sense. Hernandez and welbeck aren't deemed to be good enough so are leaving, van Persie probably needs knee surgery which would bring him close to his end pretty much. A loan deal is perfect as well, and for only £6.5m apparently, can't complain.
Takes the piss a bit though.

Didn't expect to wake up to this news. More strikers? Anyone fancy a CM or CB?

Ed Woodward is without doubt the English Florentino Perez. Safe to say we are now the English Galacticos!

He had a torn acl so was out since Jnuary but he's the best pure #9 in the world and has been for a few years, just an amazing player. The complete striker, and will probably go great with Rooney.

Berbatov was average with a great touch and didn't suit our style at all. That's the comparison.

How quick is he? Is he explosive enough to add some pace to a much needed attack line-up? He certainly has the movement that our static forwards don't seem to know how to use, but what of the rest?

No but he's quick enough to get away from defenders.

He's not slow like Berbatov, but he's also not as fast as Welbeck.

He might well be the fastest of the RVP, Rooney and Falcao trio though

He's only failed to score above 30 goals in a season in Europe once. And that was last season when he was injured.

No but he's Chicharito with better finishing and better movement. He's not as slow as people think. It's a myth.
He more than just Chicharito with better finishing and movement. His technique is miles better and he is very useful in the build-up too.

Falcao - he's got a turn of pace and both footed, and seems to score all types of goals. And he's Columbian, so his cartel will always be nearby to fcuk up any defender that tries to foul him.

Di Maria, Falcao, Herrera, Shaw, Blind, Rojo.

Are we even finished? Unprecedented window. We all said we'd have to spend, but no-one expected this.

Just walking out of the office for lunch and they've got BBC news on...I see Falcao to United and I end up blocking the doorway because I'm genuinely surprised and wondering why.

I can't think of many better goalscorers in the world and I know he's not been signed on loan at the expense of a top class midfielder but I still find it hilariously astounding.

Falcao is world class and if there are issues over RvP then this deal makes sense, the loan apparently is because Monaco want to stagger the payment to help them with FFP next summer, he is ours.

For a right-footed player he is really good with his left. That chip goal #13, imagine Giggs doing that with his right foot :)

Wanted to post the screamer he scored against Coventry with his right foot, in the interest of balance, but can't find a video/gif of it anywhere. Can anyone help a brother out? It was in 1997. Right footed curler from outside the box. Delicious goal.
