Seriously.

We've a home game after the break. Imagine the crowds delight at watching some spanking new signings in Di Maria and Falcao. And Ed knows who else.
 What you did there, it's been seen.

Logic takes it in the bum again! Feels like Man Utd again.

Hererra and Blind. And Vidal.

Don't be daft, Herrera is good, but he's as much a CM as Shinji Kagawa. And Blind, yeah, ok. But if you put in perspective what has been spend in areas where you didn't need anybody compared to the areas you desperatly needed some guys....

I love you guys :D It's like your board is a bunch of rats in a lab, the sweet stuff gives you electroshocks, but so what: Do it!

Will this be another window without a CM, while adding Falcao to Van Persie and Rooney?

We've signed 3 CM options this window. Herrara, Blind and Di Maria.

I don't get it - surely you guys need a CM / CB far more than a striker??

Herrera and Blind, even Di Maria played CM last season...

Wait. Am I being a bit thick? (don't blame me if I am)

Why would we need to agree personal terms? Surely that would be part of the loan deal with Monaco?
We'll be paying his wages, so I presume we could offer him higher or lower wages. There's also the matter of other perks and benefits (company car, insurance and what not). Also marketing rights.

Why sarcastic  ?
The info is all over the thread but I guess its hard to follow things at the pace they are moving!

Well, one might think that we got Falcao to prevent City or Arsenal from getting him.
That's another side benefit :)

Not sure if he's played any other games against English opposition?

Hat-trick on his weaker foot

Our line ups over the coming months will be some of the most mixed starting XIs (in terms of quality and shite) that the Premier League has ever seen.

What, we signed Herrera, Di Maria and Blind. That's a whole new midfield right there.

Exactly.

Real Madrid won the Champions League with Di Maria playing left centre midfield with Alonso holding and Modric on the other side (yes I know Alonso was suspended for the final I meant he was first choice last season). Ok, Herrera aint Modric and and Blind isn't Alonso but they're not crap players. As a midfield three they're gonna be good.

Kagawa can't defend at all, though. Herrera can though sometimes gets too aggressive for his own good.

We have two new CM's: one creative and one more defensively sound. For a new CB, we have Rojo, and Blackett's established himself in the first team though is still raw. However, our 3 established central defenders will do better once our whole team recovers from injuries and get used to this formation.

Pulling my plonker to all Falcao related stories to United at the moment.

This is a serious question:

How the feck will my fantasy football line up now?!

Looks like we're going back to our old "we're gonna score more than them" tactic.

Great idea with a loan deal, will give Woodward a full year to prepare a bid while still having him banging them in for us anyways.

Or is this the day the Woodward-banter dies? :D

Huh?!? Shut up.
This is happy time lads, please don't make me dish out warnings.

Be free, embrace the muppetry.

So what we thinking....

We're absolutely playing Herrera as a CM, right or wrong is up for debate(a fairly interesting one, IMO), but that's what's being done with him. I guess from time to time he'll cover for Mata at AM, he played there for 20 mins here and there in pre-season.

quote from a gunner

' They replaced RvP before we did. Hahahaha .... I'm going to go cry. '

Apparently the Monaco owner lost €4bn to his ex wife in a divorce and is cutting his losses with the football.

The world weeps for the poor bugger. Oh how he will struggle from this day forth. Will have to just put up with drink pleb shit like Bollingers for brekkie.

This is like muppet paradise, yet still feeling like not completely fixing a few areas to the level we wanted. It feels like we've brought a turbo in Di Maria, additional gear in Falcao, 3 tyres in Blind, Rojo and Herrera, new brakes in Shaw, but we still have 1 flat tyre with fairly average CB's. If we assume Blind is for DM I can be convinced by that, as looks a very good ball winner and that is more or less midfield sorted, maybe not the Vidal level, but still a big improvement on where we currently are.

Either way, getting this on done in one window is pretty substantial re-engineering!
