Even if it's a loan with a permanent deal at the end it would be a brilliant signing.. he could be the replacement for Robin van Persie who may not be the same again for example.. who'd have thought we'd sign both Angel di Maria and Falcao in the same summer all without Champions League football.

So he's basically RVP's replacement while he's out needing an operation. What happens when RVP comes back? There's no way to fit Rooney, RVP and Falcao into one team, especially with Mata and Di Maria in there as well.
