I don't get why some of you say stopping city from signing him. Nobody would pay those amounts to stop another team signing a target. It's just a bonus.

This is the sort of bullshit mentality that has seen us get in to the mess we are in now. Not only is Falcao better than the two front men we have but if both Chica and Welbs going we'd be incredibly short up front especially if LVG wants to continue playing 2 up front.

I highly doubt it will be Falcao that warms the bench. RvP and Rooney in that order should probably be most worried. LvG is known to be pretty ruthless, if he's seen something about those two that isn't working it's probably not beyond him to drop one or both if it aids his 'philosophy'.

Why not just keep Welbeck and play Rooney as a loan striker. RVP as back up and if he does struggle for injuries give Welbeck a chance..
