I don't understand the moaning about this to be honest. If Hernandez and potentially Welbeck leave - and with RvP possibly needing an operation too - we are going to need a striker. So why the hell not go out and sign one of the best no.9's on the planet? We're Manchester United, the biggest club in the world and we are finally flexing our muscles in the market which is exactly what people have moaned about us not doing over the last few years.

If we sign him we have two top class players in every position.

--------------------De Gea/Lindegaard-------------------

Rafael/Valencia---------Jones-Smaling----------------Rojo/Shaw

------------------Herrerra/Anderson--Felliani/Cleverley---------------

----------------------Fellaini/Januzaj----------------------

Rooney/Welbeck------------?/?----------Falcao/Young

-----------------------RVP/Wilson--------------------

Just need to bring in another AMC to play ahead of Fellaini and we're set.
You seem to have forgotten a few players we have

I doubt we would sign a 65mil player to be played out of position.

Falcao is the best no9 in the world. If we buy him he should be played there.

It all makes sense. Woodward is doing the gallant thing; he's going to sign Vidal and Falcao to distract attention from the hacked celebrities.

Good for you, Woody!

Surely means RVP is expected to be out for a while or Rooney is finally dropping deeper?

Makes no fecking sense, which is why I believe it can happen. Only at United.

Rooney doesn't appear to have the stamina to play midfield anymore, maybe he could do the Scholes role of staying in the centre circle and spraying passes around but I don't think he could do much else.

I don't think I've seen Rooney dribble past a player in several years.

Well either way he's been cack up front, so maybe he can do a job in a midfield 3 with runners like Blind and Herrera doing the legwork. Or maybe I'm speculating, this is insane.

you do realise we signed someone named Angel Di Maria btw? He is pretty good. Just saying. Also, we signed a dude named Michael Carrick a few years back. He's alright too. Can play where you have Anderson, Fellaini, Cleverley. Played there a few seasons for us.

If this is a transfer from LvGs blessing, then I don't care about money or prices.

For years we've sat back and complained we don't spend big while others do. Now we're doing it, people are going nuts.

We do need a striker if rumours are true. However, if this is the right striker for us, I'm unsure.

The little kid inside many posters here is screaming for this to happen.

I, however, find this impossible. As overloaded as our team is on the attack, van Gaal wants to overload it even more? Nah, it doesn't make sense. It seems like Mendes is trying to promote his client in order to make more profit out of him. Plus, van Gaal won't be happy with this signing at all if this went through as it would provide more imbalance to the squad.

 And you leave out Mata and Di Maria.

Jesus! Why are we signing Falcao?? It beggars belief! THere's no space for him in the team... We already have two massive players in the forward position... we'll be playing huge money for a bench warmer.

Woodwood is actually mad with power. He saw himself trending worldwide after signing Herrerra and is just signing plalyers willy nilly. He's out of control.

Woody's head photoshopped on this please, anyone?

Could this be the highest profile signing with the lowest number of pages for it's thread?

Nah, this can't actually be true... it's too insane.

It has come to us signing a player for €65m to prevent City from getting him, this is incredible.

This.

If we get Falcao I reckon we're about 1 more striker and two more Attacking Midfielders away from a genuine title challenge.

Hopefully it's bullshit otherwise we are on transfer steroids and will bankrupt ourselves, soon.
Well we won't. We are a money making machine and could splash out like we have this summer every year and still piss all over financial fair play.

We're clearly going for the "only using the perimeter of the pitch" tactic here. 4 across the front, 4 at the back and 2 wingers. feck the centre circle.

Unnecessary signing if true (which I doubt it is) - money could be better spent on a central midfielder!

DDG
Rafael Jones Rojo Shaw
Blind
Herrera Di Maria
Rw?? Falcao Januzaj

I still think we're a DM and winger short.

If Woodward pulls this off, then I'm finally going to tie the knot.
