Fair play rules are our best friends right now, if this shit is true.

Can't see this happening. If it does then surely it means Rvp has serious long term injury problems.

Makes sense if Van Person's fitness is in doubt and Hernandez is leaving. World class signing if it happens.

I'm trying to understand this. Could it be that LVG wants to move Rooney back ?

Mata obviously does not do enough defensively, LVG could drop him for Rooney playing as number 10. Falcao then up top with RVP, when the latter recovers from his injury.

He meets our key criterion: left footer.

Next Transfer window we will buy exclusively right footers.

It was never about formations.

He is right footed (he takes penalties with his right) but has an equally good left foot and fantastic in the air as well.

am i dead? we have the worlds biggest celeb scandle unfolding and united are signing falcao after getting di maria for 60m im genuinly scared... please can someone let me know im alright...

Now I want Falcao, I cannot believe that some people actually don't want this to happen.

It give United a world class 2nd/3rd option plus if RVP needs surgery and could be out until January than he is exactly what we need.
Falcao would (or should) be first option. He'd be our best striker. I can't see him not being a complete success in England at any club he joined. Suarez level of output.

Not buying it for a single second.
I wasn't either but van Persie might be out for a fair while, Wellbeck and Hernandez might be off Rooney picks up his share of injuries and has a form slump or two during the season so maybe this makes a bit of sense. A loan deal might be more appropriate.

Sabatini of AS Roma with the money spent by United would have built an unbeatable team for 20 yrs

Falcao is world class or was world class rather. I find it difficult to believe that he'd be joining us so im not biting on this one though it will certainly be the deadline day saga.

I just watched a highlight video and he scored most of his goals with his left. It even felt that at times he'd move towards space to create shooting opportunities with his left!

Mata, Di Maria and Falcao near £150m in 8 months and our midfield would still be awful.

Not that I'm entertaining Falcao these rumours, but to call our midfield 'awful' after this window is harsh...

Carrick, Herrera, Blind, Di Maria, Fletcher and possibly one more isn't awful.

Watch real matches and you'll see he prefers his right even if his left foot is great. Scored cracking goals with his left.
Honestly signing him would be a waste of money despite the crazy goalscorer he can be, I don't believe he's joining us. That would tell me that something is truly wrong with LVG's brain.

They will continue to complain until we sign Vidal.

It is awful.

Di Maria needs to be on the wing and not a midfielder.
Fletcher needs to be a coach rather than a player
Blind we haven't even signed yet but is average at best
Herrera is unproven in the Prem
Carrick is 33 and has been injured for a while after an awful season last year

Not even average the state of it.

I'm not considering Di Maria a midfielder yet, I'm still holding out hope that we change the formation and move him out wide.

It is awful.

Well, you don't know that. None of us do.

We've only seen Fletcher and Cleverley play there and they got dominated...When we played on Saturday, we didn't get dominated (First time in ages)

None of us know how Herrera, Blind, Carrick or Di Maria will be for that matter

I wouldn't say average but I'd say underwhelming but I totally get you.The midfield reflects our current ability as a club.

It is nice to see Van Gaal take he SAF approach of feck it, lets sign a forward when we need someone to help our mid field.

As much Falcao would be a very appealing signing, I hope we haven't forgotten something: the endgame is to have the players to play 4-3-3 (only 1 striker). If we go 4-3-3, how would you fit Van Persie, Rooney, Falcao and (importantly enough) Wilson into a single position if they are all fit? Furthermore, we still need to provide more protection in midfield in the eventuality our new midfield acquisitions get injured again. The last thing we would need is to see the likes of Fletcher and Fellaini play in our midfield.
