The only possible reason I can think of in United signing this guy is that the rumour about RVP undergoing knee op is true.
Obligatory.
A lot of people seem to think this, but he's pretty much a better, more acrobatic version of Tevez, style wise.Yup, I was just watching this. For some reaosn I had it in my head that he was simply an incredible poacher, but looking back at his goals has proved otherwise.
CONFIRMED. Falcao travels tomorrow to Manchester to sign a contract with a team of that City. Fee €65m
Either we've found a replacement for RVP in less than a week, or Mendes is trying to instigate a bidding war.

I was just going to post whether he was left footed, while watching that video. Then there was a flurry of cracking right footed goals. The amazing thing if he's right footed, is the number of times he pulled back from the right foot to take a shot on the left foot. Brilliant.Watching that video i was sure he was left footed. Turns out he's right footed. So good with left foot it's almost unbelievable.

People outside the UK usually refer to United as Manchester because City wasn't a well known team until a few years ago. But you're right in that it doesn't specify United, though given the above Instagram photo and a few Colombian journalists' tweets, it would appear that it is indeed United.Erm, that just says he's flying to Manchester to sign for a team in the City, it doesn't mention United, I am starting to wonder if there is a mix up as many times people outside of the UK just refer to us as Manchester.

No the initial tweets clearly said that though City were interested, they can't sign him due to ffp and specifically mentioned us signing him instead.Erm, that just says he's flying to Manchester to sign for a team in the City, it doesn't mention United, I am starting to wonder if there is a mix up as many times people outside of the UK just refer to us as Manchester.

Other South American journos have clearly stated that it's United so I believe that's what this particular one refers to.

I'd imagine City are frantically trying to offload Negredo and whether they go in for Falcao would depend on that transfer. If United are serious about this, they have to move quick and tie up the deal before City can sell Negredo. No the initial tweets clearly said that though City were interested, they can't sign him due to ffp and specifically mentioned us signing him instead.
Indeed. Would also be spectacularly beautiful if City sold Negredo to make way for Falcao but we still end up signing him.I'd imagine City are frantically trying to offload Negredo and whether they go in for Falcao would depend on that transfer. Didn't there new owner lose interest in the project or something? What's going on with Monaco? I thought they had designs on being the next PSG, but they're selling everyone they bought for huge money after only a year?
The owner is Ukrainian I think, so his net worth is probably falling and he probably has other things to worry about. Also read that he lost about 2 billion in a divorce settlement. What's going on with Monaco? I thought they had designs on being the next PSG, but they're selling everyone they bought for huge money after only a year?
This is madness.why aren't we going for a midfielder instead? Where is the need for us to sign falcao when we have other issues that might need solving.
We've been doing Mendes favors for a while and he's returned the compliments in good faith, so we could just be doing him a favor in promise that he'd divert some other clients we actually need towards us in the future.
He's right footed apparently. He meets our key criterion: left footer.
Next Transfer window we will buy exclusively right footers.
It was never about formations.
